It was common practice for Patriot Title (PT) to perfomr title services for clients with high-risk (low credit scores) clients for various, national lenders but then siphon off the contact information into a private database so they could contact them via PT's own mortgage company. This is ILLEGAL in many states, but at the least unethical in any state.
