When we signed up for Direct TV on Dec. 27, 2007, the installers had a contract that stated our term of service was for one year (12 months), which we signed. When I called to cancel service on 2-25-2009, the customer rep for Direct TV informed me that we signed up for an 18 month term of service, and that we would be charged an $80 early disconnect fee. Extremely unethical customer abuse. Not charging us an early disconnect fee would be the right thing for Direct TV to do. I will go to the Better Business Bureau in order to fight the disconnect fee. read full review »
