Purchased a Sony XBR TV Jan 08. Midscreen pixels were defective in 18 months. Purchased extended warranty. Screen too expensive to replace according to holder of extended warranty. Rejected claim on our $3, 000 TV. Said they could send $1600 and we could replace via internet. Called the original dealer who told us he'd sell us a 52" Sony - lowest model of the line.
