When I decided to cancel my services with Direct TV, I called them and they told me that they were going to take $250.00 out of my checking account. After checking my account the following Monday, I discovered that they withdrew $357.00. This could have caused an overdraft if I wouldn't have checked the account. Per my banks advice, I canceled my debit card as they said that many people were having problems with them.
