I have had DirectTV for several years. AFter moving last year, I had the service installed. In January, I noticed my bill increased by $30.00. I called customer service and was told my 12 months of credits had expired. I ask the representative what my termination fee was and she stated I was on a month to month contract because I had fulfilled my obligation and there was no termination fee.
