I purchased a warranty less than a year ago for the Nissan Quest I had bought. When a vehicle has more than 90, 000 miles on it, a warranty is a good idea. Recently, the timing belt broke and caused engine damage. I did not worry because I felt I was covered by the power train warranty. I trusted the salesman and the dealership that sold me the car. My claim has been denied because the warranty covers timing chains but not timing belts. It may cost $2500 to repair the vehicle. I am not a mechanic, but a customer.
