I have shopped at Macy's for many years & was surprised that on 6/4/10 after making a purchase with a check which is the way I normally pay for my purchases, I gave the Macy's employee my driver's license. She then pushed a box with numbers & told me to enter my SS#. I told her I had made purchases just last week & did not have to give my SS#, she said it was new store policy.
