My elderly mentally ill mother owns her house free and clear, receives a widow pension that allows her to pay all of her bills. She has no need for a reverse mortgage loan. She passed the phone to me to ask questions about the loan papers she just signed. I asked the loan officer was he "100% certain" that there are no other upfront fees associated with this loan?
