Our Sony Bravia XBR 52 inch TV purchased 12/08 went out so we called for service. It turns out the LCD panel is out, which means we need to purchase a new TV. When speaking with Sony's customer service, it turns out they will only offer us a discount price of $1, 500 plus tax on a new TV. We only have 1 week to decide. This offer means that we spent $2, 800 on a new TV a year and a half ago and need to spend an additional $1, 500 plus tax.
