I wrote a check to Lowes back in the end of July 2010 that didn't go through the first time at our bank, but did go through on the second just fine Aug. 9th. I was charged one NSF charge from our bank, on the 12th our checking account, had a Pre-Authorized Debit from Certegy Payment Recovery Systems for $25. for a return check - In looking at the bank statement I find it hard to understand why our acount was charged by this company after the check was drafted on the second try and paid.
