Had a flat tire on the left front. I followed the scissor jack placement instructions and was parked on a flat asphalt parking lot. On the second turn of the jack spindle, the "hooked" end broke off completely. When I looked as to how the thing was made, I couldn't believe my eyes. A hollow piece of rolled sheet metal instead of a solid steel rod. I'm not an engineer, but I'm not an idiot either!
