I purchased two Maytag electric ovens model MEW5530DDW a little over five years ago. They are not used daily and are used together only on holidays. Within days of each other both control panels failed. They cannot be repaired and cost $350 each to replace. Clearly this product is built to fail so that Maytag can sell replacement parts. It is outrageous that there is no way to repair the control panel and that they are so expensive to replace. I will never buy another Maytag oven nor one with touch pad controls. Interestingly, the only ovens with easy to repair knobs are European models. read full review »
