I helped my stepson get a safelink phone about a year ago. It has been the biggest JOKE around! They had to send 2-3 phones before he got a good one, we had to stay on the phone on hold for about 1-2 hours everytime we called customer service to set up the phones! Then he accidentally dropped the phone and it broke, so he bought one at Wal-mart that they said would be ok to use.( i called and asked first) So we spent another 2-3 hours of time trying to get it set up with customer service, it worked awhile, then just quit.
