In Sept. we receivd a statement from Ocwen saying our mortgage was sold to them by HomeEq, although we had never been notified of this and had been making payments to HomeEq. I called Ocwen and spoke to Josh Parker who told me to HomeEq was out of business and eventually the checked would be returned so just sent the payments to them. He knew this as he, along with many of the HomeEq personnel were now working at Ocwen. I did as he requested and took his advice not to pay the $35.00 stop payment fees on each check.
