We had a fire at house. We have been Hughesnet customers for 10 months. The equipment that we rent from Hughesnet may or may not be damaged, we cannot tell. I have been on the phone with technical support, billing, sales and even Executive Customer Service in Dulles to identify what to do next. Billing tells me that my home owners insurance needs to "negotiate" with Hughesnet to cover the costs of the equipment, but they don't know who the insurance company would actually speak with.
