I sent them three e-mails, one after the other, and I got a response within 24hrs. from a sarcastic idiot, so, I put him in his place and told him to refer me to his superior. I am constantly bombarded by offers to update AVG. I updated it already a couple of weeks ago yet they keep interrupting my work with their blasted offers. Without fail, they always find something wrong with my computer and try to push a new version or other item. On June 4, 2011, I rec'd a wonderful offer in the mail, so wonderful that I got suspicious so I decided to check with this Board and sure enough, my instinct served me well. I bought my Inspiron 1545 laptop on 7/10. Besides crashing numerous times, I now have a message on the plug-in icon that reads: ''consider replacing your battery'' . How can this be, my laptop is not even a year old and I don't use it for business. I should have read the complaints against Absolute Dental before going there. I went to the one located at 3945 S. Maryland Pkwy. in Las Vegas and it was a terrible experience. In my case, they did NOT honor their ad which offers a "free teeth whitening for new patients only with paid x-ray and exam". On Feb. 2, 2011, I signed up with AVG as I got rid of Spy Hunter for their deceitful practices. It turns out that AVG is no better. They are obnoxious, pushy, scam artists. On Jan. 20, 2011, I noticed a debit charge to my bank account from SpyHunter in the amt. of $39.99 which I did not authorize and worse, nobody in that company asked me if I wanted to renew this.
