I had recently moved to a new city, and was finding it difficult to find employment. The Mergis Group stated they had a temp-to-perm position available. I took the job. The next thing I know, I am receiving notice from the company that all 21 temps were getting their contracts cancelled. I asked, well why, after we have all worked here for so long are you not hiring anyone on permanently.
