I have been visiting the only burger king in Arvin for years. Lately, when I pull through the drive-through, I give the clerk my money, and they ask me to back up behind the pole so that I don't increase their time per car ratio. I'm not sure how the employees are compensated or trained with the timing mechanism. But, I am sure that "tricking the system" by having customers back up to restart the clock is not the intention.
