Our home loan was sold to Everhome, without our knowledge of course, in November of 08. Our first payment was due Dec 1. We apparently sent it to the wrong office and somewhere in between coasts the check was lost. Contacted by Collections dept or something like that to advise no payment on Dec 14. We tried to explain it was sent, even gave them a check number, so were advised to stop payment on that check ($35 fee) and issue a new one plus $15 late fee.
