I was traveling on interstate 65 thru Greenville Alabama on Saturday night October 2, 2010. I stopped at the BP station located one mile south of Greenville to get gas and to use the restroom. I would go as far as to say Alamo LAX are criminals! Do not rent from them! We did book a SUV, Ford Escape or similar, this car comes whith a 2.5 or 3.0 liter engine and we had made good research about this car being perfect for us.. I have a 2004 BMW Z4 Roadster that has 55, 00 miles on it and it has been a piece of junk since day 1. I have had nothing but problems out of this car and it's the fifth BMW that I've owned. Have had a 2008 Subaru Tribeca since new. Since I took delivery, I have had a problem with it hesitating when climbing a slight grade or as when passing another vehicle. I feels as though the engine is misfiring, although I was assured by the technicians that this was not the case. The problem, I was advised, was in the transmission. I do not understand how BAD this company treats customers. They are very unprofessional and completely RUDE. They gave me a price to repossess a vehicle and once they repossessed it they added $18000.00 plus $45.00 per day for storage after they told me it was going to be $350.00 and 10 day free storage. On 9-19-2010 I took my vehicle to Sacramento to attempt to sell it to CarMax (Roseville) and Nissan on AutoRow in Sacramento. During the review of CarMax's cash offer they advised me AutoCheck (a part of Experian) had listed 2 (two) accidents reported for my vehicles VIN. I advised them I had only 1 (one) accident, which was correctly dated on their report as 6-28-2007. Autocheck has NO detail for any accident, merely reports the date. Took my car in to get the wires concealed. They where not suppose to touch any settings on anything. When I got the car back about 200m down the road got an electronic smell. It just so happened that they fiddled with the amp and blew the sub-woofer which was 2 days old. When I confronted them about it they just said that they take no responsibility for it. If I can give you advice take all things not needed for what you want done out of the vehicle as they will not take any responsibility for anything that is wrong with equipment after getting it back. Asks to put money in accout with Ebay VPP. When I googled it, it was as I suspected a scam. I took my vehicle for a routine state inspection. They failed the inspection saying I had a bad ball joint. I knew that was a line of crap because I always have my vehicle checked & repaired BEFORE I take it in for inspection. I filed a complaint with Penn DOT and challanged the inspection. After I received my vehicle back from being serviced by Ferndale Motors, I noticed a crack in the windscreen. I approached the company about it and their response was that it must have been there when the vehicle was booked in. Well, the crack was not there and I am sure that it happened during the service process. I have been servicing my car faithfully. I garage my car. I only drive 3 miles to work. New Jersey weather has not been that bad over the past 6 years. My local mechanic has said it is the worst rust and corrosion that he has seen to the subframe in over 20 years in business. When I brought it to Chrylser, their "certified" mechanic said it was "normal" weather corrosion. When I called Chrysler headquarters they said I should have brought it to a car wash every 2 weeks!
