Lustine Scion
I recently bought a scion xb at Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge, VA. What a mistake!! I initially went in to see a used one after they tried to charge me $18, 000 for, a car that retails for $14, 000 brand new so we tried to leave.
They wouldn't let us and yelled at us in the showroom telling us that we had wasted there time. My husband almost hit the guy. I went back the next day to look at the new XB's after the GM called me and tried to reconcile the problem and they still tried to rip me off. Scion's have a set price. Not... read full review »
Motorguide
In April 2008 I purchased a new Tracker bass boat. It came with a Motorguide trolling motor. I had the boat on water three times. The first was for break in time on the Mercury gasoline motor. On the third time I began having trouble with the trolling motor. The trolling motor has 5 speeds; I started lossing speeds until I finally only had the highest speed. To make it more of a problem if you ran the trolling motor very long (30-40 sec) on high it would cause the resetable breaker to open. I was on vacation at the time. When I returned home I... read full review »
Speedway East Gas Station
I have been going to the Speedway gas station for years, mainly because of their lower prices and their rewards program, which is better than any other gas station I have found. However, over the last couple of years I have noticed that a few times per month (sometimes more), the gas price gauge jumps up a few cents (to as much as 50 cents) before I even touch the trigger to start pumping gas.
Let me quickly go through the process I routinely do while pumping gas. I first put in my rewards card, then my credit card. Immediately I pull the... read full review »
Auto Zone
Below is what I sent to AutoZone;
Today, July 6th 2008, my daughter visited your store # 1156 at 6198k Little River Turnpike. Alexandria, VA 22312. Her transaction number is XXXXXX and receipt number XXXXXX.
Her problem was simply a battery problem and she requested that the store first perform a test because it is not holding the charge. The store clerk (Fabio) told her to drive around for about a half hour to charge the old battery so he could get a reading, to which my daughter explained that she had it jump-started last night to... read full review »
Johnson Ford Co
We own a 2006 Mercury Milan and every time we take the car to the dealer for a service, it seems like they always come up with something else that needs done. Like the last time my wife took it in for a oil change at 25, 000 miles and they told her she had to have the fuel injector cleaned or she would void the warranty. We like the car and want to take care of it but getting it serviced by the ford garage is really getting to be a lot of bull. You see I just happen to be a mechanic and I know a little about how to take care of it and I can read the service manual. read full review »

NTB (National Tire Battery)
I purchased 2 tires made by Faulken om 1/20/2008 and noticed that the the front wheels shacked after the tires were put on and balanced. I also had a car alignment preformed. I brought the car to the local Honda dealership a few weeks later and they thought that the tires were bad. I took the car back to the NTB store in Olathe KS and requested that they inspect the tires. The manager told me that they don't to Tire warranty work on the weekends and that I would have to come back during the week. He also said in a rude manner that if... read full review »
Tracker South Africa
In 2007 (Sept) when I changed my car and bought a new one, I changed my tracker account to their new division (Skytrax). After long months of promises to cancel the account and refund me the debited amounts, I have since noticed that Tracker have resumed deductions on my account (June/July 2008), contrary to all previous assurances by Tracker that the account had been canceled and that they have processed my refund!
This sucks and such behavior borders on unscrupulous business ethics. Total unacceptable. read full review »

Let's see now. On my 79 year old father's behalf, I called this company after he got two weeks use of his new $2, 400 scooter in the spring before it broke. Still being under the warranty, I figured this should be easy enough---wrong! After calling an endless amount of times the first month and put 'On Hold' for hours, not minutes now, hours, they finally sent a service man. Service man orders the part. Simple enough, right, wrong! Part is coming from California, more like China. Said it would be 3 weeks. Three weeks later... read full review »
Getty / Gas Stations
1. Customer service in non existent at this location. Under the previous owners I would fill my 3 vehicles there once a week. The current owner views customers as a distraction. He is slow to arrive at the pumps is curt and treats customers as a nuisance. I now drive all 3 vehicles a mile further to get more expensive gas. I also now get all 3 vehicles inspected at another station. I know getty wont care, their website doesn't even have a customer service tab. read full review »

I had brought my 03 Chevy Duramax in for leaking injectors that are under GM warranty for 200k miles.
I am well read on the nuances of the vehicle and explained to the Service manager that the injectors were leaking fuel into the cylinders and into the crankcase, filling it up and blowing out the vent. They did not replace any injectors and removed the transmission and replaced the rear main seal.
In the process of removing the trans.
They broke the module that tells what gear the tranny is in.

We purchased a used SUV from them, the salesman was awesome! The Finance Manager was a tool his first "deal" was about 3k over priced, so 6hrs and 3 "deals" later we settled on a price signed the contract with the only add-on being GAP insurance and left with the SUV... A few days later we got a call from the "Finance Manager" saying the financing had fallen through. This seemed strange to me because we had a signed contract with payments, interest rate, and a lender stated on it, so I contacted our attorney he reviewed... read full review »

I bought the car new from dealer. I also paid for the extended 100, 000 warranty. At the moment - 20K miles are on it. After a few months the "E" brake light (in the dash) came on and wouldn't go off. Dealership couldn't duplicate and that has happened lately.
Now for the last 4-5 months it doesn't always start. It just clicks and the radio and all that comes on so I knew it wasn't my battery. I called my fiancé at work and he told me to jiggle the shifter (automatic tranny) - I did this and tried it -... read full review »

In the last 15 months I had 4 vehicles shipped from Miami, FL, to Europe using the services of a shipping Company called ASI (Autoshipment International) located 49 NE 22th Street in Miami, FL 33137.
On these four shipments, this Company managed to damage the driveshaft and the fuel tank of one of my vehicles and the driveshaft of another vehicle (the 1982 Ford Econoline of last shipment). They probably didn’t know you don’t lift a rear-drive vehicle with a forklift truck. I had a hard time to temporarily fix the last damaged... read full review »

Last year (June 29, 2007) I took my 2005 Trophy Walkaround to a local marine dealer, because earlier in the day when I was out on the water, the alarm sounded on the engine (Mercury 150hp Saltwater Optimax). I immediately shut the engine down to prevent any damage. When the mechanic checked the engine out, he discovered a small crack in the power head, which meant the engine needed to be rebuilt. I checked on the internet and found Custom Machine Shop. They are anything but custom more common.

I brought my car in to Merchant Tire in Cary, NC with a pinhole leak in an upper coolant hose that was apparent due to some steam emanating from under the hood.
The mechanic who first worked on my car indicated it was just a small leak and the hose could be replaced. I will point out here that at no time did the car overheat, nor did the check engine light come on, nor did I lose significant coolant. This was the tiniest of leaks that had just started.
I asked if any other hoses needed to be replaced while they were at it, and we... read full review »

Four years ago, I was driving my paid for Nissan Maxima, and after a 13-year run, it was time for a change.
Silly me: I went to Atlanta Toyota. It was a Sunday afternoon and of course, had to go to work the following day. A friend of mine had recently acquired a new Toyota Camry, and it seemed pretty slick. Apparently, there's quite a difference between riding and driving: my Camry was a dog!!

Same dealership that cost me $2300.00. for an oil change. Talk about gruesome service managers. Must have gotten a huge bonus that year. It puts a major blemish on the reputation of Nissan autos. I went there to buy a truck. We agreed on price, went to finance to pay. Once there, they tried to increase the price by $1500 for Teflon paint coating, which they claimed was already applied. This was total BS -- they were just trying to get more money.
Sales Manager offered to let us have the Teflon for only $499 -- we walked and will never do business with them again. These guys are scum. I was able to get the same price at another Ford dealer with no Teflon. Don't waste your time with these guys.

KCI Airport Car Rental Center
The Kansas City Airport has this great rental center building with a terrific shuttle going to and from it but it is only a pleasure to use if you have a nice dry day. I had to drop off a rental car at the Enterprise Car Rental section and that morning it was pouring rain. Carolina Hyundai
I went to Carolina Hyundai In Fort Mill SC. They sold me a 2005 Hyundai XG350 that has been in the repair shop for the same thing so many times that I am still upset. They did not show me the car fax report or even offer. That should have been a warning about the deception that the car had issues. Later I found out the car was bought at an auction. The transmission still jumps. The car value has decreased and now when I try to trade, found out the car was in an accident which leaves me really unsatisfied.
