I was inrolled at Empire Beauty School since Jan.2008 went thru alot. They do not follow rules there, only the ones they want to or the ones they make up. They do not help there students, particularly the night class. My husbands sister got cancer, it was bad they didnt think that she would make it so my family went to see her in Arizona. Let me start of by saying that if you want to attend this school and learn more about the programs offered don't bother to ask questions because the departments within the school will refuse to return you calls or even respond to you if you go there in person to speak with them. Staff is rude, they never return phone calls, do no know how to answer questions and the credits I earned did not transfer to Bergen Community College. Only 7 of 21 credits transfered. I got a B+ in English Comp I at Berkley, but no one will accept the credit and I had to take it over at Bergen CC. TWO of Berkeley's English (I and II) equals only ONE of Bergen's. It's sick! Teachers are there for the money, not for the student. The 8 month I was there, so many student left the school. Some of the teachers are raciest. Most of the teachers don’t like foreigners, and Hispanic decant. Some teacher would talk about how they end up in this job, and that they really don’t like it. I applied to UC Davis for the 09-10 year. I called to have my scores sent to UC Davis, paid the fee, and thought everything was taken care of. However, i get my confirmation letter in the mail that shows which test was sent to which school. I noticed only ONE out of the FOUR exams I took was sent. Do not go to Anthem Institute(formerly know as Chubb). I attended class there from 2007 to 2009 for a computer education.
