I enrolled in Penn Foster in June of 2008 in their (what I thought was the Certificate Program) Medical Assisting program. I had to e-mail them and ask for my enrollment agreement and when I received it, it stated that I was in the Associates Degree program which ends up being approx $3, 000 more dollars. I e-mailed them and said there must be a mistake and all that they could tell me was that I would have to cancel this program (which will cost $335.00) and reenroll in the Certificate program. My brother in India New Delhi took training from these buggers, he spent 1.5 yrs with this lousy institute..what a waste of time and money .. he paid Rs.60, 000 for the course.after 1.5 yrs jetking is unable to teach concepts of networking. jetking has worthless computers(dead machines). I order books from this company, with the choice were to keep them or mail them back, when i order them they ask my bank information, in case i didnt send a check and cancelation number, they would conitune mailing books every month, and charge it to my bank account, before i even got the books in they took money out of my bank account causing a over draft fee 36.00 plus 8.00 for each day my account is overdraft this has gone on for 4 days please dont do business with this company. read full review »

This company sells a bookkeeping program and claims to have an ironclad guarantee return policy. When I tried to return the program to them they threatened to return it back to me and charge me for the shipping. I am trying to return the books unopened and sealed. When the ed directors daughter showed up you'd better kowtow to her majesty(when she showed up). This school is terrible. It is a boarding school. The food here is terrible making all the students gain at least 10 pounds if not more. I practically have to stave myself to stay at a healthy weight here. They also kick out their students if they don't like them. for personal reasons, but say its about grades. I contacted Allstars Driving School to get a refund of $260 on my credit card, or at least a partial refund, because my son could not get his permit to start driving because he failed the written test too many times. I am not going to continuously pay $28 to the DMV until he turns 18, which is not far away. By then, he will not have to go to driving school in order to get his permit. Back in April I contacted Amadeus music school to set up guitar lessons for my son. I specifically asked "Do you have a teacher in my area?" A few months ago I attended Barbizon...FOR ALL THE MONEY MY PARENTS PAID...it was NOT worth it at all. Few days back I visited this school and met some nursery teachers. Although they were having good communication skills but not the qualification only couple of teachers were well educated but not the all. I met one more teacher and she had done only NTT from some sanskaar institute (poor institute)along with BA degree from distance learning courses...pathetic teacher...I am very disspointed and highly disstaisfied because my son is studying there and now I am planning to move him to some quality school like DPS or Lotus valley. My wife was in her second-last semester of the LPN to RN progression program at Moraine Park Technical College, West Bend, Wisconsin. She was enrolled in two courses: Nursing Concepts 3 and Mental Health. Well lo and behold; MPTC decided they could make a lot more money by shortening these 16-week courses to 4 weeks! I was made to believe that if I ordered a CD, I could learn how to earn some extra cash from home... who is not looking to earn in these hard economic times... but to my dismay I have not received the CD but my bank account was debited $39.95 today. Remington College at Greens Point in Houston TX is full of it. The only thing that they think of is money, not the students all they say. When a student asks for help, they should be ready and will to help if they can. I have not seen this. The students on externship are not being given what they need. The school is a total rip off. Money Money Money and more Money. This school should be investigated for what they are and are not doing for the students at Greenspoint Remington College, Houston Texas. I am currently a student at Kaplan college in Arizona. I am in the respiratory therapy program and I am half way through the program. During my first clinical rotation at a local hospital, I was sexually harassed by a fellow student. I also witnessed him acting inappropriately with a patient and an employee at the hospital. Please beware, our Grandmother was scammed by the Colorado Radon Institute and Michael Merit. She had black mold in her home and hired Michael Merit to perform indoor air quality tests. Michael Merit took her money and never sent her tests results or returned her telephone calls. She was embarrassed and did nothing. The black mold became worse and she developed respiratory problems. I know, that all schools in the United States, from grades one to the twelfth grade, have a dress code that they go by for all students, boy's and girls. I was having tires put on my car, and this other customer approached me asking if I wanted to buy something from her granddaughter's school for a fund raiser. I did, and wrote the woman a check. 2 months later it was cashed by the school and deposited into the PTO account. I never received anything that I paid for, and the school refuses to reimburse me stating that it's basically my responsibility to try and recoup the money from the woman. They promised us 27 transactions minimum or we'll get our money back. We did only 6 deals during the time we were in their coaching program. We did everything the coaches told us, which was more work than we ever did before, and we made less then we ever did before. We paid them 1, 000 dollars a month for a year. The last 2 months we had no more money to pay them because they had already maxed out our credit cards. I started getting phishing sites after seeing an ad from Dell Computers. All of the sites had easily accessible 'opt-out' links except for this one. Forget about trying to click on any of their so-called links. Only aggravation made me determined to find some way to force these people to let me go.
