Although I am not an international student, I am a local Stevens-Henager student. The classes are too easy(so that they make sure they keep getting your financial aid money). Every test I have had so far has been open book. I haven't learned anything that I didn't already know or is common sense. They rope you into a $2500 contract and promise you can cancel within the 30 days and your credit card will NOT be charged anymore. This is FALSE. They lied and don't keep their promises. The director charges ridiculous amounts for mandatory field trips. They are during school hours, but if your child doesn't participate, there will be no care for your child, even though you've already paid tuition for that day. For instance, for the latest "fieldtrip" she is charging 28.00 for a play, which the tickets only cost 11.00. Whenever I question the cost of a field trip, she claims the other part of the charge is for "transportation." In this case, the school is only 3.4 miles from the field trip. read full review »

I was also scammed by this Company. They falsified my Invoice copy to my credit card company. In fact they never even sent an Invoice to me when I initially signed up for their "Unlimited Online Training" Their materials are outdated on average of 5-6 years and some courses don't even have Text books that correspond to their online courses. I am a Disabled Veteran and the Veterans Affairs pays my tuition for college. I applied for a Pell Grant to help me pay my living expenses while attending college. Salem International nows states that they can hold my Pell Grant until I have a positive balance. This will not happen for another 3 years. The college bills my tuition at the beginning of the semester and the VA pays at the end of the semester.
