I'm just adding to the list of AT&T rebate complaints that are already online. Again just another case where the rebate never made it to me. After ordering online, including giving my ccard CCV number, they called me to "confirm" my order. Instead, he tried upselling me a battery pack. When I declined, he hung up. After numerous attempts to get a live person on their phone line, the guy informed me my order had been canceled (probably b/c he couldn't make enough $ out of me w/o the upsold battery pack). I have purchased Videocone Referigetor in the year 2002 but I am sorry to say that its body has got damaged after one year only. It gets cracked in side the body. One of the biggest mistakes I have committed is giving HP another try, several years ago we bought a HP Pavillion 6000 laptop from BJ's wholesale club. Within several months power board failed discharging the battery and we had it repaired by the warranty only to fail shortly after the warranty. It is serving at the moment as a nice paperweight. I purchased a Haier America washer/dryer combo last June. I used it once and after one wash cycle the unit broke. I called Haier and told them that the cycle selector knob was stuck and that the unit was not drying clothes properly. They advertise to buy used cell phones. I sent them 2 phones, both the same model. One had a broken antenna, still worked, but they disqualified it. I don't dispute that. When I tried to purchase one, the sales person fist told me the surround sound was crap and I should upgrade to another product. Then I was told the mounting bracket was an addition 144.00 dollars. Beware of the Philips brand LCD Flat screen HD televisions. Ours failed after a two years of operation. It can only be repair at the Philips Repair in Arkansas. There was a prepaid repair charge with the following stipulation. If the set could not be repaired they would refund the prepaid repair charge and provide a comparable new or refurbished TV. This is one of the worst dealers in Coimbatore for consumer electornics as far as after sales is concerned. These people treat the customer respectfully only till they sell the product.
