I purchased a laptop computer eight days ago. In addition to the laptop, I was sold a disk that would restore the hard drive if it were to crash. This disk cost me $99.99 plus taxes. I was told that if I was not happy with the product that I could return it within fourteen days for a full refund. I admit that I did not understand the nature of what this disk was. I bought the above product on 1st June, 2007. It has developed a fault and I phoned Future Shop about the warranty. I was told I would have to send the printer to Canon at my expense. They could not even give me an address. This seems a cavalier way to treat customers. I will be careful to establish warranty procedures when I buy a product anywhere in future. Without any knowledge I was charged $19.99 on my cell phone bill, and when I brought this to their attention they refused to refund the money. In January, 2007, I purchased a new Dell Dimension E521 desktop computer via telephone. The machine was sent with Windows XP 2000 installed and, as agreed, I was sent Microsoft's Vista upgrade later. Upon installing the Vista program, all sound disappeared from my computer. After 10 months of wrangling, I have reinstalled Windows XP. Even though both products were new and should have been workable, both companies showed minimal interest in helping. However, both agreed to assist if I agreed to pay hefty hourly fees. In my opinion, the Epson P-3000 has a BIG DESIGN FLAW with regard to backing up this viewer in the field to another portable hard drive. Pre-purchase review of Epson ads and the device manual erroneously led us to believe this would be easily accomplished. I bought this 2GB compact flash card from aptiva as a back up card. I am a photographer and have lots of cf cards but this card drains my battery with in a few photos. I was shooting the band Seether the night before at the House of Blues and ran out of memory on my 1 camera so I put this Ativa card in went through 3 fully charged batteries in 2 songs.
