I would tell everyone to contact yur State agencies that govern these companies inluding but not limited to the FCC, contact your Congressman, State Representatives. The problem with why they get away with it is because we all have a tendancy to complain and not act. I bought a pint of raw oysters ($10.95) on a Friday. When I opened them on Sunday it was obvious one of them was bad, and they stunk. I dumpted them down the garbage disposal and kept the top which showed the "expired" date over a week in the future. I went by the store and told them the problem and gave them the container top. They said they only way I could get a refund was to have brought the bad oysters back with a reciept!!! Ugh. I will never buy there again, thats for sure! The main tv with the dvr recorder has no picture every time I turn it on. The extra tv in the other room seems to work fine. It's getting to be a pain in the but every day. I just want to turn on tv and get a picture every time. I have to unplug it and turn it to channel 4 with my tv remote. Then I turn on the dvd player. Then I have to turn off my dvd player, and then I have to push Video 1 on my tv remote. Then I get a screen that says press menu to watch fios. That's an awful lot of work just to watch tv. This company telemarketed my 86-year-old mother within days after the death of her husband, my father. I have been charged twice for "Privacy Controls" and I have not been provided with licence number for "Anti-Spyware", thus I am unable to utilise this product. I've had DTV for about three years now. On average I have video/audio issues every 3 months. I resisted purchasing their service protection plan until recently. Over the past 4 weeks I have lost picture and audio 1 or 2 times daily requiring the receiver to be re-booted. This is a complaint for the Samsung LCD37A550 which i purchased 16 months ago. Worked perfectly for 15 months and I was very happy with it to be honest. Suddenly went on the blink 2 weeks ago. My wife, my 15 year daughter and I went to TGi Friday's at the Long Beach Town Center on Friday for some early dinner. The place was packed, but we were able to find a table in the bar area. I spent the day yesterday trying to remove a virus from a friend's computer taken over by AVG. It locked up everything and would not let her even on line. Apparently this is par for the course for the AVG-Free which works for a time without cost.
