Telus
September 25, 2006
Here is a copy of the email I just sent to telus: complaints - wow, you sure have a lot of complaints against you on the internet, and i agree. I've had High speed internet for three weeks. It intereferes SIGNIFICANTLY with my phone - I lose very important calls every day. I am cancelling my internet. Your snot nosed technician told me I'm going to pay a $120 cancellation fee. GOOD SCAM. You can give away all the free computers and ipods - maybe try free cars - from now til the cows come home and I will NEVER USE TELUS AGAIN... read full review »

Magazania.com
September 25, 2006
I placed 2 two year subscriptions for magazines. Company said they deal directly with publishers of magazines. Publishers now tell me they never heard of this business and i have been taken. I would like my subscription money returned. Magazania.com goes so far as having this fancy complaint form and all, but just ignores all my complaints to them. read full review »

Conde Nast Traveler
September 21, 2006
I received a collection notice from National Credit Audit Corp. Regarding a possible magazine subscription with Conde Nast Traveler. Our company has no knowledge of this subscription and could not contact a human being at the collection agency. I am assuming this is a fradulent collection agency and tried to verify with Conde Nast that we did not owe them any money. I sent an email to Conde which informed me to fax them the info which I did on 06/07 and again on 07/18. So far I have not heard back from Conde Nast. read full review »

107 West Restaurant
September 21, 2006
This restaurant is not child-friendly and tends to practice racial bias. I am an Asian woman with well-behaved children and we recently dined there at 5:30 pm (not a busy hour). The manager was rude to us and asked us to leave before we could even finish our meals. Restaurant details: 811 W 187TH St New York, NY 10033-1219 (212) 923-3311 read full review »

1800SkyRide.com
September 21, 2006
These guys are only booking agents, and shady ones. Booked a balloon ride for my husband as a surprise for his birthday. I am certain they had been given notice the provider they booked was not available. Every time you call you are given the run around, put on hold, disconnected. This is after they take your money of course. This is the letter I sent today. I called back at 5:00, as instructed, because that would be the only time a manager would be there, and just got vmail, and not hi... read full review »

Dish satellite TV
September 21, 2006
On July 10, 2006 we ordered a replacement receiver due to issues with the original. We were told we could install it ourselves, but elected to pay the fee to have it done by a professional technician. The earliest date for installation was 8 days later. An apology for the "unusual long wait" was blamed on recent rain causing service calls to be backed up. My complaints are as follows: 1) 8 day wait for a service call. 2) Dish technician never showed up/never called. 3) 47 min using cell phone minutes to try to find out... read full review »

National Magazine Exchange
September 21, 2006
I recently entered a 2 Million dollar sweepstakes by telephone from Clearwater FL (727) 712-0382. They stated that they would send me some magazines to preview with 90 days to cancel and if I did not cancel I would be charged 67.00 every 4 months. Within 2 days they charged my card 67.08, then another 67.08 within a month. They also sent me a Value Plus letter for $40.00 in gas with a non existent website to claim the 40.00. Value Plus charged me $1.00. I called National Magazine Exchange and they we VERY rude!!! I kept telling... read full review »

Dex Media
September 15, 2006
Qwest Dex (since September 2003 absorbed into Dex Media, Inc., owned by The Carlyle Group and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe) publishes classified telephone directories ("Yellow Pages") in the Seattle, Washington, area. While operating a business named Centerplex (at http://centerplex.net), I found that Qwest Dex engages in harmful practices in the sale of directory advertising. Unfair contracting If you seek to advertise in a Qwest Dex directory, Qwest Dex asks you to sign a lengthy contract. The contract protects Qwest... read full review »

MyMusicInc.com
September 15, 2006
I wanted to be able to download music honestly by paying a fee, which I thought would be paid to ASCAP, BMI, etc. Relying on a promise of 30-day free trial, in January I signed up with MyMusicInc.com. They immediately charged $18.95 (US) to my credit card. I sent an email to cancel within 30 days. Since then I have gotten nothing but run around from "customer service" people like Geoff S., Tommy E., and Brian N.: Why do you want to cancel?; Did you use our cancellation form? Your refund will be processed within 2-3 business days; Why... read full review »

Barnes and Noble
September 14, 2006
Hi everyone, we're hoping someone nice can resolve this blog for us. We'd like to know why we were denied our money back from Barnes and Noble, when going into the Enfield store here in town to do something simple as returning 2 books. Is it your policy to keep our money at all costs, while thinking we will be satisfied with store credit only, immediately after we were obviously dissatisfied with our purchase? So we should pay all expenses of going to a store, buying a shipping box, tape, a label, shipping the items back to you, so... read full review »

In January 2006, my son answered to an internet offer for several magazines in order to receive an internet shopping spree-which did not turn out to be what he was led to believe.... Around the same time he received a call from Silk Enterprises asking if he was interested in ordering magazines at a discount. He thought this was the same magazine company as the internet offer (Americas Readers Choice) and he agreed to the order. He also agreed to have is debit card charged for the $39.27 not understanding this was a different company. Hi... read full review »

Literary Guild Select
September 7, 2006
For the second time in two months I have received books that I did not order, and from authors that I do not want to read. Trying to get this resolved by phone is not doable since they have a computerized system which does not respond to questions. They do not have a phone number by which you can speak to a human voice. The next time this happens to me I will go to the authorities about them. I have read the numerous letters of complaints and basically they say the same thing. I would advise anyone reading this to think twice about any mail... read full review »

I would like to get my complaint out in the open, About A movie I reciently viewed from Bell Express Vu. This movie, on the actual DVD was rated 14 and up, but on bell express, It was rated 8 and Up. I am complaining, because my 8 year old brother watched it with me and my mother, and we both had to plug his ears, and cover his eyes, almost like, every 5 minutes. I don't know If you can do anything about it, but If you could, I would be grateful. read full review »

Dulux Ad on TV
September 5, 2006
Channel Nine aired tonight at about 6.30 a disgraceful ad for Dulux that featured the word" Hallelujah". This is a gross breech of community values particularly for relious people but also a pollution of a word with strong religious connotation for the majority.. My hope is that you will help get it off air promptly. I have sent my complaint to Dulux directly. read full review »

The magazine I had ordered apparently had gone out of business. To this date, I have not received my refund. DVD World Online aka DVD Destination
September 1, 2006
I made a DVD purchase (www.dvdworldonline.com). Much run around. Never received the product or the promised refund. I filed a complaint with NY BBB. They couldn't get this company to respond either. The purchase was for only $24 so the company knows they can thumb their nose. No one is likely to pursue legal action for that amount. Unfortunately, given Internet purchasing, most buyers won't find out they've been had until it's too late. Completely avoid this company. read full review »

On June 13, 2006 at around 8 PM, I hit the 5 cents progressive jackpot slot machine accumulated over 233 thousand credits and then I cash-out right away. I went straight to my car, get the cell phone and just about to call my wife to share the excitement that I won a jackpot. I was surprised when I saw the printed ticket amount of $21.75 only. August 22, 2006
Has anyone notified you about Publisher Business Services? Their address is 701 N. Green Valley Parkway Suite 200 Henderson NV 89074. They are pushing magazines. I said yes to this over the phone but when it came in the mail, there were 6 magazine subscriptions. I would be paying $20.00 a month for 29 months. I did not sign anything and I e-mailed to them to cancel the subscription plan. You might think you are getting a good deal but the cost is expensive. Mary Anne. read full review »

August 22, 2006
My son started receiving bills in his college dorm this past spring (2006) for a Playboy magazine subscription that he never ordered. He ignored the bills and now he has received the same nasty collection notice from Charles Martin that others here have mentioned. Charles is only asking for $10 for the subscription, so I guess his $17 and $12 scam solicitations aren't working for him.
