ELK is very good at marketing and responds very quickly and efficiently to new potential clients, but when it comes to delivery, they are shocking! Over a period of two and a half months they have made numerous appointments to come take final meassurements and then never pitch up (after you have moved your appointments to accomodate them). I purcashed an engineered floor in May 2010 and by October 2010 the finish was coming off anf the supposed knots in the wood were nothing more that some putty/plastic material that came up off the floor. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Calypso Washer from Sears in 2002. Within one year it had the mother Board replaced for more than $1000 but luckily it was under warranty. I have never been happy with the performance of this washer. Clothes are dripping with water and full of lint. It has broken down couple of times and I have had it fixed . It is broken again and I just found out that there was a Class Action Law Suit for this model settled in 2009 and I was not even aware of it because Sears did not deem it necessary to inform me. We had purchased an indoor water wall feature on April 20, 2007. We purchased 3 area rugs/carpets for our bedroom. They were the most expensive and the "best of Mohawk" according to the Lowe's carpet employee. This company (Brad) came out to look at my broken hot water heat (3 years old, purchased and installed by AMY). They told me that the gas valve needed to be replaced and was not under warranty, that only the tank itself was, and that it would be several days to get the valve because it had to be ordered (we were already out of hot water for 3 days). Our dishwasher panel shorted out 3 times between Oct 2010 and Aug 2011 and was unsuccessfully repaired by their contractor each time but the last. Before you rush out to add the WORRY FREE SERVICE CONTRACT to your already over charged billing be warned. Have had this contract for 3 years and this past month actually needed to use it due to problems with my water heater.
