He did weird editing techniques. My favorite pictures are where people’s facial features are barely even visible anymore our faces literally look like mashed potatoes because he made the faces so creamy & blurry trying to soften our skin. During the photo shoot Mieke Hendriks didn’t make our baby comfortable or make her smile. She did not even try to cooperate in most of the photos our baby was not smiling and not looking at the camera. Also she didn’t really shoot any nice angles. I was very disappointed when I got the physical prints. The larger ones were grainy and had lots of visual noise; clearly the camera the photographer used wasn’t great for creating large prints. Mieke did not live up to my expectations at all. I had to, on several occasions, advise her on how to adjust the settings on her camera. I can understand if she asked for my opinions once in a while about how a specific photograph should be taken, but if I have to do it all the time then I might as well be doing it myself.
