On 02/10/06 I placed an order on mods4less.com, and paid for shipping by USPS Priority Mail. The Xbox/GC Dragon Adapter that I ordered said that it was "INSTOCK", and "Usually ships within 1 Business Day". For the next week I would check my order status every day to see if my order had shipped, and to get my tracking number. But my order status never changed. It always said, "Status: Processed". These guys are crooks. They are under FEDERAL INDICTMENT for ripping off over $100, 000 from internet customers. They have been banned from selling on E-bay, and have been charged with piracy of Microsofts Windows's 98 software thru their website. I found all of this out the hard way off course. $334.85 of the 100k they ripped off was mine. My worst online shopping experience ever was with Mobshop. When they first launched, I thought it was a great idea, and purchased several video games from them at good prices. But then I purchased Rayman (GBC) for $15.00 in May 2000 and never received it. I thought, "Okay, I'll call them up and let them know." Customer service is terrible. I ordered a phone on the 21st which is MLK day so I figured that by the end of the 22nd that they would have it shipped so I can get it 2 business days after I ordered it because I paid for 2 day shipping but for some reason because I used a different address from my credit cards billing address they couldn't verify in time to get it shipped the same day. I had purchased a Htc touch dual from mobile planet end of dec 07. After couple of weeks the charger port was not working properly. I called Mobile planet they said to return the phone to bloomington, IL, I did in feb 08. I was told by mobile planet that it would take 6 weeks to reapair. After 8 weeks no answer, i called them up and customer service returns amanda mailed me back saying it is on the way back after repair. I placed an order 25 days ago. I received a confirmation the same day. They also charged my credit card that same day. I have heard nothing or seen nothing since. No merchandise! All attempts to contact the company have been futile. They no longer have a valid e-mail address and it is not possible to contact them by phone. We have an extremely compentant MIS person here so we had never needed to call for any major support until recently. That is when I learned of how poorly this firm is managed and how unresponsive they are to customer complaints. On June 11th, 1999, I placed a phone order for a WorkzPro System. At $1712.95, this system with 12.9 gigabytes of hard drive, 32mb of video, 256mb RAM, and a DVD-ROM was a great bargain. I was told I would receive my system in 5 days. On June 23rd, I made my first status call and was told that it would be 5 more days. Total crap. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHEATS! There is no way that they are a real company. No phone service, no e-mail service. My order is a week late and still not been dispatched. They've had my payment and the order page still says it hasn't been paid for. These people are complete crooks, I will never deal with them again. I bought an SN25P system from them because if supported RAID, but it never worked properly. I returned it for another one which had the same flaw. Clearly the product had a design flaw. I requested a refund but they wouldnt' give me one. I would rate them much better except for the fact that when I tried to return a bad motherboard (Tyan 1590), I couldn't get anyone to respond to my emails or phone calls! I sent one email stating the problem and any troubleshooting I'd done so far. They responded the next day saying I should check the power supply. I had a bad experience with this company. I paid extra for overnight delivery. It arrived a day late. I made peace with that. One of the modules they sent was not what I ordered. Tech Support wrote me back promptly and said that there must have been a mistake in the warehouse and that if I wanted to return it, to contact them and they would commence the return procedure. I've sent them at least four messages (to various departments) in the last 3 weeks, and no one has had the courtesy to respond. They don't care much for their customers. read full review »

Their tech support is bad, really bad. They want to accuse you of wrong doing way before they'll accept that their product may be at fault. Had a board of theirs that went bad. I did not know MegaHaus was previously known as Dirt Cheap Drives. Several months ago, I purchased a Western Digital 7200 9.1G on-line and had been negotiating with Dirt Cheap Drives at that time.
