We purchased an expensive treadmill from Sears some years ago. Approximately one year ago it failed and we called for service. The service man came out and repaired the machine, which we paid for. The machine failed again and we called for service. Another service man arrived, walked in the door and within five minutes looked in his service computer and announced "there are no parts available, I cannot repair this." Last December when travelling abroad made two calls from the Denver Airport to San Francisco. I made the mistake of using my credit card as I didn't have change to make the calls. The first call got me a wrong number, lasted about 30 seconds and the charge to my card was 16 dollars. The second one lasted a minute after I left a message and cost over 30 dollars. My experience with this company was horrendous. The company's customer service is the worst service I have even experienced as they have an extremely difficult time in answering their phone and not calling back even though they promise they will. In the latest example, today I spoke with Michael at 9:30 AM, who claims to be a manager and rudely told me that he would call me back after 3 PM without even listening to my situation. On 02/04/09 I was at that TJMAXX with 2 items to return: a small vest (cash receipt was in the bag) & a knit strapless mini dress. The cashier Svelana hardly could speak English, murmured some phrase in her language to another cashier &sked some Amanda S, the coordinator, whether that was really a dress. I too wish that I had been aware of the multiple negative things floating around on the net regarding these people! I moved into a 'renovated' place they had a little over a year ago and have had nothing but issues since. The new carpet, linoleum and paint was done shoddy and was probably as cheap as they could get. I bought two tikis from this a-hole at the flea market. He seemed stoned out of his mind, and the Tikis were rotten and moldy in a less than a month and one of them split right down the face! He assured me that they had been properly treated and cured and would not give me a refund! I have since bought a new set, custom made, for cheaper than his 'discounted' price and they look gorgeous. The customer service is terrible, and there is a 20% restocking fee on any item whether it has been opened or not. Many of the items on their site are not stocked by CompBizUSA, but by direct suppliers who sell directly themselves. If you return something, they must check with the direct supplier to get a shipping label for you, which takes time. ComUAmerica is CHEATING !!! I was delivered not I what I paid for. I was cheated for about $600. I puchused DLP InFocus projector, which after 4 months of service was out of order. When I tried to fix it with all promised 3 year warranty i figured out the following: The projector bulb ($400) went down after around 300 hours of service - supposed to work 2000 hours. Avoid this company at all cost! i ordered a ASROCK K7VT4A PRO from them with a 2800+ xp chip. the board didnt accept any drives on the ide port, ide ports didnt work, they charged me a testing fee, so i called them and complained that they sent me a board that didnt work when i paid a testing fee. wth.. so i'm stuck with the board because neither compu terra (terror) and asrock wont accept responsibility for the bad motherboard. :( sigh! read full review »

I placed an order with Components Direct for nearly $2000 dollars. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews. The next day after the order was placed I got a call from Jeff. The 4 cdrom kits that I ordered were out of stock. Jeff substituted a more expensive kit that was in stock and didn't charge me for the difference. Avoid these idiots like the plague! I ordered a humidifier that attaches to my furnace. They sent me one that was used. It had hair and lint stuck in the gum that holds the parts envelope closed and the whole thing smelled like mildew. It was disgusting. I emailed and asked for a replacement. I sent it back to them and got an email stating that they had received it. After ten days of not hearing from them, I emailed again. They said that it was processing. Another ten days passed and I called and demanded a refund. They gave me the purchase price only. I got screwed out of $20 shipping costs because they sell garbage. read full review »

I ordered from this company twice. Both orders arrived at a timely fashion. One of the heatsink I ordered dont fit well on my boxed/retail CPU, so I wrote them if I could have an exchange. The email was answered within one day and no question asked. I sent the heatsink back, got a different (better) product within 5 days. The price difference was taken care of nicely. These people are efficient! They might not have the best price for some of their products, but I appreciated their way of handling RMA. Very efficient. Watch out for these guys. I ordered an item and paid extra for "express" shipping. Unfortunately, that still gives them the right to wait 5 business days before shipping your (in stock) item. Add on 5 days for UPS, and my "express" shipping took 10 business days to arrive. Also, terrible customer service. Over four months ago I purchased O2 Optix contacts from Coastal Contacts. I received the correct contacts in the mail within about a week of purchase. I bought a disfunctional Epox motherboard from Citrus Micro. It didn't boot, there was no display, the CD tray would lock up, etc. I did receive an RMA from Epox but after the "repair" the motherboard showed no sign of improvement whatsoever. We purchased a Scorpio case item 3 cc868w on june 20 04. The undamaged box arrived june 25. Upon opening the box we found the proper case with the front cover hanging on by 1 screw, 3 of the 4 snap-in pins were broken off.(none of the broken parts or screws were in the packaging. Upon further examination we saw screw marks where 2 drives and the MB standoffs had been installed and removed, all 7 of the PCI card access cover werew also punched out. Then when I asked they said it was just on hold which was a flat out lie because the bank said they had already took it out. Then I found out the jacks would not work because I have dial up.
