On 10th march 2011 i boarded the flight EK385 from Bangkok-Dubai having booked Business class flights for my Husband and myself. When we took our seats the steward explained that the tv would not work as had a fault, this was not really a problem to us as it was 1am so sleep was more of a priority. I stayed at this all-inclusive resort alone because my boyfriend could not come due to his fathers health and his mothers state. His father was admitted to intensive care and diagnosed terminal days before our trip. His trip was fully paid for and not reimbursed. My agent has helped my wife and I with all of our questions and did a very good job explaining everything. I have my Stormy Point timeshare with them and have it listed for $19, 000. I suggest if at all possible you stay away from this company. I bought a ticket for my fiance and at the last minute they told me i need to fax them my handwritten credit card information to confirm the ticket. They showed no respect for my credit card privacy and could not communicate between their departments (they already had the info on file from when I paid for the ticket). Rip off house. NOT a 3 BR/3BA house. 3rd bedroom and second bath are in unsecured basement, only partially screened (useless) and is open to outdoors. It totally flooded when it rained so everything on the floor got soaked (all of our luggage since there is no other place to put it). The first deception was that you were invited to attend a seminar on how you travel. There was NO indication that you'd be walking into a sales pitch. Second, Kirk, (a high energy guy) repeated over and over that no high pressure sales attempts would be made. Hello - I just read the lists of complaints and the good comments also. We just signed up in Feb and just completed booking for Dec in Florida at the Resort Club at Little Harbor for two weeks. I was having problems trying to book on line so I called GVD and Spoke to "RUBY", she was so helpful I couldn't beleive she was real. She also saved me 2 stars for later. We had bought the tickets about 2 months prior to our travel date and we confirmed them the night before our departure. When we got to the airport after waiting in line for about 20 minutes, one of their service representatives approached us and about five other families and told us the the flight was already closed. I would simply like to advise that coast to coast tickets raises the price of tickets by a great amount. $35 tickets were posted as being $91. In addition to that they had a shipping fee of about $30 on EACH of the tickets. Send me an envelope please, these are paper tickets for goodness sake. This may not be incredibly wrong, but with out doubt they are not oriented to providing you with the best possible deals and I advise you to look elsewhere as they are undoubtedly taking advantage. I have been travelling around the world for the last 50 years. Sometimes the service has not been that great, but as reasonable human beings, we must make allowances.
