They claim they solicited at the home telephone number and received authorization directly from myself. I am employed at Verizon and it never happened! As a family with school age children, it is nearly impossible to make reservations at popular vacation resorts, unless you book 10 months in advance. The process of making reservations is very cumbersome, as you cannot book resorts online yourself but you have to go through customer service. My experience there was decent, until I made the mistake of accidentally leaving my laptop in the room. As soon as I realized, I contacted them, they informed me they had it and would mail it right away. I gave them my credit card to charge shipping. I was told I could get a 6-month extension but how do you do that when either you cannot get through by telephone, or the telemarketer tells you that she will forward the information to a supervisor and they never call me back. If I could give half a star I would and I haven't even taken the flight yet. I booked a return flight to Auckland from Sydney for my wife and myself, a family reunion. Due to some mis-communication I had to change the dates of departure and return. I expected a change fee but was gobsmacked to be hit with a bill for $400. I purschased a vacation from Gloria Pipkin now Gloria Holmgren(a travel agent) to go to Poland along with 3 of my friends. The cost of the vacation to Poland was close to $10,000. We had to pay up front with cash. Due to health problems, we had to cancel the vacation in September. My complaint is because booking.com works with a hotel by the name of Bungalowpark Domaine de Chodes in Belgium, which apart from being of awful quality, also rips off their customers. In the confirmation they sent me they said that the credit card was only for reservation, and that they wouldn't apply payment. Then they asked for a wire transfer. This is the worst company for customer service. We called in a no heat call, they sent a tech out who stated that we were out of oil. We called they company and was not due for another oil delivery for over a month, we also asked the tech if the oil tank was leaking, he assured us it was not. The next day Able Oil delivered over 200 gallons of oil. Unfortunately, our tank was leaking and the oil that they just delivered leaked into the ground. We had a reservation, guaranteed with a credit card for a 3 day trip to visit our daughter in Hollywood. We arrived late at night and were told they had overbooked so we would have to go to another hotel. They sent us miles away to a shabby part of town with a noisy bar right next door. This was very frightening to us as we are somewhat elderly and don't usually drive at night. The hotel had no carpeting or hot water. The hotel manager said this happens all the time. Warning! I bought the norton 360 protection, for my computer at home. When I installed it, my computer went off line and I could not, for the life of me, get my computer back on line. I was very upset! So I went down stairs, ate dinner, put the kids to bed, went to bed myself, and had sex with my wife. There was nothing else that I could do, until the next day. I got sms that my barkclay has been dispatched through Bluedart courier but when contacted Bluedart I was told it is redirected back to the Original Office due to change in residential address.
