I had the misfortune to book a hotel by using the service of www.Alpharooms.com. It is a very easy to book and the prices are very tempting, but the things stop there. After wards there is no communication at all, nor by e-mail nor by phone. In fact there is a costumer service number you can call (very expensive), wait for a response and usually not get any live person. Was sold a "Lifetime Warranty" on this new heater for an additional $20 ($99 vs. $79) and found to my dismay that the "warranty" only brought the price of the heater down to what the competition sells it for anyway (after the factory warranty expires). We are receiving phone calls fromInfocom USA to pay for a CD that 1.) we didn't authorize the order and 2.) we haven't even received a CD. They call us and we tell them we didn't order a CD nor do we have one in our office please do not call here again and then we hang up. They call right back and tell us that we are rude to hang up the phone and that by hanging up the phone doesn't mean we are going to get rid of them. This is a ripoff site. They have you join for .99 euro whick is supposed to be about $1 US and then charge your credit card $127 dollars and you never get anything downloaded. They also haver a fraudulent credit card screen that looks like your bank card and asks enough information to steal your identity. I was directed to the site when my computer got a virus. I payed the 50 dollars and downloaded their program. A few weeks later, I started getting virus alerts again. I tried to contact the company by email to get support for this issue, since it was supposed to be a 3 month protection plan. They never responded to any of my emails, and when I tried to contact them by phone, the number is not in service. Anotherfriend.com is a scam website. They deactivate your account for no reason just when you start to make a friend. They pressure you into signing up for a premium or higher account. My friend tried registering on this website when she never used it before and it kept on telling her that her account was suspended. Come on she was a brand new person.
