I have unsuccessfully attempted since Octber to stop deliveries and charges... my credit card company has started dispute procedures but I cannot get a phone number that is not always busy in order to discontinue. I've had a really hard time with Helium.com. I made about $0.20 from their site and decided that I wanted to use my articles somewhere else - a magazine wants to pay me $50-$100 for some of them but I can't have them posted anywhere else. The grant information that is advertised as $1.99 is actually $49.50 per month. It's nearly impossible to find this hidden information as it's supposedly in the "terms and conditions" which is again, nearly impossible to find on the website. After calling Customer Service and trying to cancel my online order apparently unsuccessfully, their product shipped 6 weeks later and my credit card was charged. As I was instructed, I refused the shipment and it was received by them 2 WEEKS later for refund processing. Customer svc has told me 3 times now that it takes 3-5 business days to process the credit. Each time I call, I'm told to wait another 3-5 days, they can forward my complaint to the "corporate" office but can't return my call because they only have incoming phone lines. WHAT A CROCK!!! I was surfing something else, I did not intend to sign up for anything like this, next thing I know my bank account has had $49.95 taken twice and $99 taken once. I called them when I saw it on my statement, I told them I was going to submit a fraud claim to my bank and was told a refund would be done, this was on July 15th 2008. I have called their customer service number numerous times to cancel my order within their alloted time of 15 days to cancel an order. When I call between business hours of 9:00am - 6:00 pm ET, either I do not get connected, i.e. dead line or if I do connect, I get a recorded message that I am to wait for a customer service representative, then after waiting, I would get a second recording stating that I have reached them during non-business hours and that I should call back.
