I purchased a 1.97 CD re: ways to obtain grants for small businesses. The company then charged me 39.95 for continue access to their database (which I never used); 7.95 was charged from ANOTHER company for "bonus" database access and another 9.95 was charged from ANOTHER company called networkagenda. I attempted to claim the $25.00 gift card at www.valueplusonline.com web site, however was directed to Complaints Board web site. I recieved a letter in the mail claiming I had signed up for their membership to save in online coupons. This is not true. I have no reason to do so as I am not a coupon user. I did call the phone number on the letter( 1 888 833 7279 ) to cancel the membership. I spoke to two different people. Only one of them gave me a confirmation number for the cancellation. Ancestry has made a business of selling peoples' family history back to them over the years. I have never liked their way of sucking researchers in with a little free information and then requiring payment for a subscription just when you think you are getting somewhere.
