Premier Holiday Travel
October 9, 2008
Back in 2002, while on vacation in the Bahamas, me and my husband were approaced by so called representatives of Premier Holiday Travel and advised of all the perks and benefits they offered. At the time, we thought it was a good idea and signed up for it. We had to put a $2500 deposit down and make monthly payments of $180.00 a month through Monterrey Financial Services for a loan to help pay for the contract. Well, we paid it off and received notice in 2007 that we had to pay maintenance fees of $1140.00. We never received any information... read full review »

Villa del Palmar
October 9, 2008
We had the same experience as Kelly and Jeff Shafer with Villa de Palmar, Puerta Vallarta. The told us the same lies about selling our other timeshare and sold us a "studio, odd yrs" for $13, 000. We paid $3000 down on Sept 29th and the rest was supposed to be in no interest monthly payments. We got a bill for the full $10, 000 balance and I cannot seem to get a hold of anyone by email or phone. Gary Dudley sold us the product, but we also talked to the manager, Jimmy Munoz as did the Shafers. Do we have any recourse? I also fell that it was a scam and will now contact an attorney. read full review »

Universal Vacation Club / Villa del Palmar Flamingos
September 25, 2008
DONT BUY A TIMESHARE FROM VILLA DEL PALMAR / UNIVERSAL VACATION CLUB. We own several timeshares and love to vacation in Mexico. We were at Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta in April 2008. We were approached for the timeshare sales; we went to get the “discounts” and made it clear from the beginning that we were not interested because we already owned enough timeshares. The two sales people we dealt with were Jimmy Munoz and Alberto Garcia. To make a LONG story short, we were told they would sell our existing timeshare if we... read full review »

I totally trusted this doctor. My biggest mistake. He ended up ruining my whole nose, including my health. He turned my nose up almost 100%. He calls it the Barbie look. I don't know of anyone that would want their nose turned up, do you? I never told him to make me look like a barbie. I want to look like me. Now I will never look like myself. He calls cutting my nose off, molding. Then wouldn't molding and cutting be the same thing if my nose is gone and no one can put my nose back on. It hurts like hell to have your nose cut off... read full review »

American/Caribbean Car Rental
September 14, 2008
American/Caribbean Car Rental in Cancun is engaging in a credit card scam. Don't make the mistakes I did: 1) Don't sign a blank agreement to pay for damages. After we delivered the car in fine shape, they filled in the blanks and charged us for non-existent damages 2) Don't let them bait-and-switch--especially without getting the exact cost of the crummier car they give you. Instead of the SUV we reserved months in advance, we got a car whose ignition wire jiggled loose. To their credit, they came and fixed it, only to... read full review »

Fiat Cars
August 27, 2008
I want to complain about Fiat, in Cancun, Mexico, on the Avenue Yaxchilan. They have been playing loud music from speakers outside their showroom in their lot. In Cancun, there is no real planning, except for the Hotel Zone, therefore, they are across the street from a Hotel, Apartments, and other residences close by, including a primary school. My friends and neighbors, including myself have called and complained to their franchise many many times with little or no effect. Hi my name is Cissy and this is a follow up of the first complaint I wrote on this complaint board. I had a very bad plastic nose surgery performed by doctor Milla in February 2007. I am writing this because I have a moral obligation to warn others. Had I paid a little more money to have it done in the United States, I believe, I would still have my nice healthy nose. I am like many Americans that go to Mexico to have plastic surgery. I did not think of what could possibly go wrong. I felt it was more affordable and I trusted this doctor Milla... read full review »

The room was dirty and had a horrible odor. The bathroom at the airport was cleaner than the bathroom in our room. The shower was rusted and there were bugs in the room. We tried to contact the person who we paid to take care of us, but he did not respond. We were followed to our room by a man who was either drunk or on drugs begging for Pesos. This hotel is on the downward slide. Watch out 4 the snakes! The Concierge pushed us for a tour of the club - a timeshare scam, upon our arrival, after 13 hours of traveling. When we refused to sign a commitment the day of the timeshare meeting, Max, a manager for the marketing company, treated us rudely. We booked some tours with a Reef staff member. Alan scammed us out of several hundred USD, and I was unable to take my son fishing, one of the reasons we went to Mexico. The United States State Department has a warning on their website against signing any contract in Mexico without getting proper legal advice. The reason is there are so many problems that Americans are having from getting duped into sales and there is nothing the State Department can do to help get the money back. Amereicans con Americans in America. Americans who move to Mexico also con Americans. Just because they are Americans, don't trust them. Consider the sources of your information. Fairmount Rancho Banderas significantly increased their Assessment Fees in 2007. El Cid
March 6, 2008
They lied to us about the value of our Las Vegas timeshare which they promised to sell for $12,000. We were required to list with Resorts Solutions (a partner in the scam) for $500. I kept reducing the price but it did not sell for $100. We were given 3 weeks at El Cid which we were told we could sell for $2200 each. Again, no sale at $500. We were assured that we bought enough points for a 2 bedroom unit at El Cid & other RCI resorts.
