I purchased jewelry from 2 different jewelry stores in Cozumel Mexico. When we left port and on the ship I had the gemologist look at the jewelry and she confirmed it was fake. We reported this via phone to our bank to hold payment and they did not. I was able to return the one purchase to the one store but the other more expensive sent the item back. I travelled to mexico for a bariatric surgery to be done by Dr. Verboonen. After he took my payment he told me that he could not do the surgery and would not refund any of my money. He also works with a patient facillitator named Sheri Burke from International Patient Facillitators who forged my name on consent forms and posted a picture of me in a hospital gown on her web site. Do not use this doctor or patient facillitator, they will rip you off. The cost me $5, 500.00 for surgery, $800.00 for air and $800.00 for hotel. I didn't know I was buying a Timeshare. I was told that "This wasn't a Timeshare presentation but a Property Investment". The Torrenza Resort wasn't even built yet. The location was in Mazatlan's Golden Zone. I was also told there were no maintenence fees. I was asked (after two grueling hours of the pitch) to invest my money into two weeks at which point an affiliate of Torrenza, Sierra Rentals and Resales would rent out my two weeks each year for $1000.00 per week. This time share is a complete SCAM. They have been ripping people off for several years now. We have just fallen victim to their lies. They will promise you the sale of weeks to pay for the price of the time share. An outside company is contacted while you are still in their office and you speak to the person that is to sell your weeks. This never happens. They also told us that they would sell our daughter's time share for the same price as ours (two for one) this was not true either. I stayed at this all-inclusive resort alone because my boyfriend could not come due to his fathers health and his mothers state. His father was admitted to intensive care and diagnosed terminal days before our trip. His trip was fully paid for and not reimbursed. They are a so-called legal firm pretending to specialize in helping people who want to get out of a timeshare deal. However my own lawyers have checked the contract and sadly it is binding.
