FBME Bank Scam My friend was really scammed by this bank which is in Cyprus. If you open an account with them they will treat you like a criminal, then open the account and when you put money in, they just keep it and do nothing. I purchased a property from this developer in April 2007 it was due to be completed in April 2007 but it is now 2011 and the complex still hasn't been connected to the water mains? The developer state that this is down to the Paphos water authorities but the water authorities state this is down to the developer NEVER applying for permits on this complex due to bad workmanship and they can never be granted until works are corrected. I received a phone call from DHL Larnaca Office to inform me that a package was awaiting my collection. I checked their web site to confirm their opening hours, it said 0800hrs until 1300hrs. I was at the door of DHL at 1155hrs the following day only to find that the door was locked and that all lights inside were out. No notice on the door informing customers why. And for that matter no opening hours information. Typical of Cyprus! A law to themselves! We did in fact call and talk to their sales person in charge, who told us they do not accept any complaints from no one, as they are always right and we are fabricating our complaints. I bought a cell phone from stephanis (sony ericsson ) and payed 115 Euro with a two year guarantee. Six months later the charging component of the cell phone stopped working, took it to the company for repair. After two weeks they said that the problem wasn't fixable and the cell phone would not be replaced in spite of the guarantee because as they argued it was my fault. I apparently caused an internal damage to the cell phone charging input by trying too hard to attach the charger to it.
