This company has failed to perform a home loan modification for me. They also refuse to give me a refund. I hired this company to peform a home loan modification for me over 10 months ago. I paid them $7000. They said they would use their lawyers to "negotiate" a loan modification for me. Do not place a special order from Belfort Furniture in Sterling, Virginia! We have been waiting for 3 months for a desk that we special-ordered to get a wood finish that is not in stock. My wife signed with Delray CC after being told our payment would be $1250 a month (roughly what we were paying at the time). After our initial deposit the rate went up to $1335. We balked but accepted. A month later it went up to $1511. Again we were a bit shocked, but saw the payments being made to our creditors and looked at it as a faster resolution to our debt. Be careful ordering from mensusa.com - after ordering suits for a wedding - languages were downloaded on my laptop and next time I tried to log into my bank account - I was directed to a new page. Be oh so careful with this website. I went to the bank and changed all my account numbers. Also when I ordered the suits, I got all different suits. Used flimsy device just once to try to clear slight plumbing problem (slow drainage). After inserting flimsy snake into drain rotating it, tried to remove the snake, it got stuck about half-way the length of the snake, so pulled a little, it came apart First the red end, then the tip. This is a two part complaint, I have had problems with them they have lied and manipulated me into getting more money out of me. I have called them several times about mysterious charges and late fees only to get mystical answers that make no sense at all. LFG is definately very good at scamming... My problem started back in 2003 when i signed this lease agreement. @ days later the agent who had made the agreement disappeared and was no longer reachable. I obtained health insurance several years ago through a company called Midwestern or something. As a part of the application process I was asked to sign many many forms. One of the forms was an application for Alliance for Affordable Services. Very little if anything was said about this except that you have to sign this one to be eligible for the insurance. This company is doing mass hirings under the guise of customer service representative. There is no mention of sales in the interviews or until you have been in training for four weeks. By the time they put you out on the phones you have little to no experience in sales. They then start pressuring you to sell sell sell or lose your job. I have my 2nd mortgage with Citi Mortgage and I spend in extra money each month with instruction to be applied to the prinicpal but each month even after I call to remind them to please put the extra towards the principal these company continue to apply the extra money towards an extra regular payment. Adt security systems are having a special that if you have time warner cable service that you get a $300.00 rebate from your security system installation. This company has been very unpleasant. We signed up for oil and then agreed to their service plan. Our oil furnace was not working. They sent someone out to fix it. I just received a bank payment with an unauthorized charge for 39.95 taken out by DRI. I called the phone number on my statement 1-877-414-5117 and did speak to someone. I was able to cancel my account which I didn't open, but after arguing with them for quite awhile, I was unable to have my money refunded in anyway. We even made sure they were aware that there are several similar complaints we found. My husband and I checked out of this hotel and paid cash after the clerk told us our debit card had not been debited yet. I held the room with me card on the phone but at check out paid for the room in cash. The amount was also deducted from my bank account. We bought Trip Mate insurance from Melrose Travel in Philadelphia in good faith and we cannot understand Trip Mate's ongoing dissembling, use of long paragraphs of ‘boilerplate’ in their communications and general attempts to confuse the issue. I purchased a projector lamp for my television from this company. Electrified Discounters advertised lamps as "OEM Equivalent", yet the lamp failed less than two months after installation. Quality OEM lamps last in excess of two years, so a two month service life is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the two-month warranty had already passed when I installed the lamp, and Electrified Discounters has refused any sort of refund, even a prorated refund. I refinanced my new Ford with my Bank and got a better rate than Ford Credit. I had paid a couple of thousand dollars for Gap Insurance which needs to be refunded. I asked for the refund in late August and its December and still getting the run around. I purchased, via the internet, a replacement bag for my Polaris pool cleaner at the end of October, 2008. By April, 2009, one side of the velcro strip that holds the bag closed had pulled away from the bag, making it impossible to keep the bag closed. I contacted the company, explained the problem, asked for a replacement but have not gotten a response of any kind. I can't say that all of this company's merchandise is defective, but I can certainly say that their customer service is.
