America, Purge the Vampire Bank!
Bank of America sucks moosecock.

It steals from its customers.

It funds payday loan operations.

It rigs bids on bond issues.

It cooks its books to appear profitable.

It treats its employees like dogs.

It must be dechartered.

America won't be safe until BofA is closed.

Bad service
I went to Bank of America in Laurel to open a safety deposit box, and I sign in to open it. After waiting 30 minutes I went to ask did they call my name yet, they said one more person is ahead of me, then they call that person. After we waited another 30 minutes and then she served another costumer and another (two total. They said they had a appointment, then she said she can't open the safety deposit box? First of all that isn't what I said I needed to do. After waiting ONE HOUR? Then she tell us?? A bit late...So we got mad and my dad, he have a very loud voice naturally, he told them we waited one hour and no service. Then we walked out, and she followed us and told the police/ security that we were loud? Then the police/ security say if we are loud in a bank we can get arrested? I thought this was Bank of "America"...Freedom of Speech? Maybe they should put on the window..."If you are loud, you get Arrested." So, she walks back in and we told the security we waited for one hour and no service and he told us WAY MORE than the people inside. The security did a way better job than the people inside.

Then we went to the Bank of America in Beltsville, our usual one, to open safety deposit and they did a great job, they told how many people were ahead of us, and how long we needed to wait, and that person also offered if you wanted to have a appointment, if you didn't want to wait.

Screw the small guy, Beg from the Government
Here is one story of my bad experiences with Bank of America. I do not trust them as far as I can throw them but I somehow think in the back of my head that they may do the right thing. I am WRONG every time. A little background before I go into the complaint. I bought a house 12 years ago when the housing market still was inflating its bubble. Well, the loan that I used has bounced all over to different banks and finally landed at Countrywide for a while. Then Bank of America bought out Countrywide so my loan is now with them. I cringed hard the first time I found out about it because of having bad experiences before. So anyway, I am now in the process of short selling the house because of moving to anther city. I tried selling it but because of the obvious housing bubble bursting, the house is upside down in the mortgage. So now I have to short sell it and as we all know the only way to get the process started is to stop paying the mortgage for 3 months before the bank will take any offer seriously. So I am on my 4 th month now and waiting for the paperwork to go though to finish the process. All of this controlled by Bank of America.

Sorry for such elaborate backround but had to explain to get to where my complaint is. I got a credit card from Bank of America several years ago because of a ridiculous interest rate offer they sent me but I set it aside and used it once for a balance transfer and eventually paid it off and set it aside again. I get a balance transfer checks every month from them trying to get me to use the account more often. I finally reached a point where I wanted to use the 6 month 0% interest for a balance transfer from my Sears credit card. So I call them and initially they could not even find my account in their system but finally they found it. Well at the same time I guess the information showed up on my mortgage being behind in payments. The guy decides he must do an immediate evaluation of my income and grill me on what is happening with my mortgage. I am getting irritated by this since this should have nothing to do with my credit card that is in good standing and an offer that they sent me, but I go along for the ride figuring there would be some sense in the end and I would get my balance transfer. WRONG!!! They did an instant rejection of my balance transfer and the only reason they had to stand on was that it was company policy. They could never explain the connection between my credit card account and my mortgage account but somehow it is there. I could run up my credit card with expenses right now if I wanted but I can't do a balance transfer because they don't like the fact they are going to lose money on a short sale. Just remember that this was one of the banks that NEEDED to be bailed out with our tax money and so soon they forget the small guy coming to them for any kind of help. WELL FORGET IT. They have made it their policy to screw THEIR CUSTOMERS any way they can.

STAY CLEAR OF BANK OF AMERICA AT ANY COST, IF YOU CAN, BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE TO RELY ON THEM EVER, THEY WILL NOT BE THERE. PERIOD!!! but they will take handouts from the goverment any day of the week.

Scam stealing my money
Bank of America continues to send me my bill late. This is a trick by them to be able to charge their customers "late fees" I have contacted them several times and they say they are required by law to mail the bill at least 21 days in advance. When I ask them why my bill continues to show up late they all have the same corporate answer "we have no control over the post office" I then ask them why I can no longer access my bill on line and they say "you can't?" Well I am tired of them stealing from me I am going to stand up and as I told them simply no longer pay my bill.

Mortgage interest overcharges
In November 2009, Bank of America moved my mortgage from one BofA subsidiary to another BofA subsidiary. Since this date, Bank of America has started overcharging me interest. Bank of America acknowledges that their "software has changed" when loans were moved to the new subsidiary. And that their new software calculates interest on a daily basis. Prior to November 2009, any additional principal and/or monthly payments made before the 15th of the month, used to be treated as if they were made on the first of the month.

Thus, now if a payment is made on any day other than the first of the month, additional interest is charged upto the date the payment is made. In the past, only a late fee was to be charged, if the monthly payment was made after the 15th of the month.

Several representatives at Bank of America customer service acknowledge that an error seems to have been made. Going back at the loan history, they also agree that the method used to compute interest has changed. They also acknoledged that my loan is not a simple interest loan, but one where the interest should be computed monthly. One representative also mentioned that other customers had similar complains about overcharged interest. However, Bank of America refuses to fix the overcharges, indicating that this is how their new system works. And now their new software gives customers a breakdown of the principle and interest for each payment. In this new process, the system charges additional daily interest to each customer.

Note that I have not refinanced, or done any sort of modification to my loan. Nor have I ever been late on a payment. Just want to make folks aware that Bank of America maybe overcharging them as well. Folks need to look at their mortgage statement and calculate the principle and interest charged, and complain if they have been overcharged.

Refused to let me deposit my sons Income Tax return
My son and I have a joint bank account with BOA. The reason for this is because my son is overseas. The Bank of America branch in Grapevine, Texas refused to let me deposit my sons Income Tax return. They asked all kinds of questions about who's check it was and etc. The manager was some mexican guy that hid behind a curtain out of full view and he was the one who wouldn't deposit the check...a government check! I wonder how many illegal aliens he asked whose SS# they had stolen and were illegally working under. I'll bet you not a one. Bank of America is the sorriest bank in the entire country. If you are searching for a bank that takes care of it's customers, stay away from Bank of America. I don't know if my son will loose his return, by the time he gets home the check will probably be void.

Privacy Assist
A few months ago I received a call from an overly aggresive person saying they were representing Bank of America. They were offering a credit protection plan for 12.99 a month. I told them no, but agreed to have the materials sent to me for approval. My answer "yes" to the sending of materials was enough to activate the program and the monthly charges began. Through a series of phone calls and rising blood pressure, I have supposedly had the charges removed. In the meantime, hower, it has affected my credit score. Whenever banks call offering extended services, I encourage everyone to say no, no, no. The telemarketers are scam artists and banks are not serving their interests well by latching on to these companies.

excessive fees
I have only been banking with Bank of America for one year now, but it hasn't been a good expieriance thus far. This past week though was horrific. My lovely wife and I spent the weekend in Louisiana to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We made a mistake in our spending and unintentionaly overdrew our account.

An old purchase surfaced late and one of the hotels charged us an extra $30 to park that we weren't expecting. We discovered the error upon our return and notified the bank to resolve the issue. At that point their were already $140 worth of charges for our $90 dollar mistake. The customer service representative suggested we not take any action yet because their were more penalties pending. She told me they would be able to work something out with us on all of them once they cleared. Nine penalties and 2 customer service reps later they told us their was nothing that they could do. So now Bank of America expects us to pay $455 of penalties for a $90 mistake. I went into the branch to resolve the issue and was told that I shouldn't have followed their own reps advice and that they could not check with their own customer service department. The associate I spoke with left me waiting twice to speak with the branch supervisor, and both times returned stating she was unwilling to work with me. She never spoke to me personally and simply had him give me her card and placed our account on hold. I explained to them I have a small struggling business and my wife is a part time teacher. We could manage the $140 fees but $455 was just not possible right now. Don't you think that is a real bully tactic?

Dogs Misdirected a 40K Wire and Laughed It Off
Bank of America MUST DIE!

Bank of America is EVIL.

Bank of America is a threat to America and every one of its customers.

One of their dogs misdirected a 40K wire - keyed in the wrong number and then stupidly wired an amendment to a bank that didn't take amendments.

Three days of work by the CUSTOMER was required to untangle it all and manage the interlocked screw ups.

The dog at the branch just kept attempting to hang up on the customer who was managing the chaos the dog had caused.

The dog just complained and grunted every time it was asked to do anything.

This is the sign of a sick and twisted institution.

It must be shut down.

Its employees must be arrested and deprogrammed by psychiatrists.

All of its executives should be crucified on television.

Conclusion: Bank of America Must DIE!
