Bank of America: Extended Overdrawn
Is this how BOA is reporting their massive PROFITS????? They sneaked in this extended overdraft charge. It used to be one 35 dollar charge per transaction. now they will charge you the 35 dollars and an additional 35 on the 6th day. They did not give a notice about this. Yet they delay in crediting checks deposited. This smells like a much needed LAW SUIT. I am taking my business elsewhere!

Scam charges
The so-called " overdraft protection " of this bank has been robbing people legally. I have been a victim this. I open a keep the change savings together with my checking account so they automatically debits my account every time made a purchase.

I got a negative balance of $2.54 due to keep the change savings and since i'm enrolled in online banking, i just transfer the negative amount. And then they still charge me an overdraft protection fee of $35.00. I tell you this is robbing a common citizen openly, and the law is letting them.

Overcharged
My branch manager Michael Esperenza in San Diego, California stated to me that if I use my ATM Debit Visa and choose "debit, " that it prompts me to enter my four-digit code, and that those funds are withdrawn immediately granted the account is in positive territory. I did just that! Checking my account balance on mobile banking it showed that the balance was "Not Available" on three occasions. Thus prompting me to purchase items using the four-digit code so I know I won't overdraft the account. Trusting that the debit card knows what is in the account immediately during that approval process is something that consumers can trust. Was that just a lie?

So I then went ahead and made several small purchases using the card as a debit using my personal pin. Bank of America online took a check transaction "bill pay" of Linda McArthur's on June 15th in the amount of $400 and took it out in front of my eyes on my online account and withdrew that amount immediately posting the new balance less $400. I see my account is now showing that this $400 transaction was not withdrawn until June 20th. A total change that has caused numerous small overdrafts that I was told I would be protected from if I use my ATM debit card as a debit card needing the personal pin that would only withdraw funds if it were available.

Now B of A is charging NUMEROUS OVERDRAFTS on those small purchases that I used the ATM debit with pin feature. NONE OF THOSE TRANSACTIONS SHOULD HAVE A $35 FEE ATTACHED TO THEM! PLACING LARGER WITHDRAWALS BEFORE TRANSACTIONS ALREADY POSTED IS DISHONEST AND I WILL TAKE THIS WELL BEYOND B OF A! Clever way of collecting fees where they are not in time order! Bill pay postings should not be placed before transactions that were made before it! B of A seems to pick and choose when larger withdrawals actually post to an account prompting numerous overdraft fees in its favor. I CANT WAIT TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW HOW DISHONEST YOU CARD SHUFFLERS ARE!!

I know I owe overdraft fees on items like the $400 bill pay...but NOT numerous debit pinned transaction overdrafts that were made AND posted before that $400 bill pay posting.

I want an explanation in writing why I should not trust an available balance on my account if there is a pending bill pay item to be calculated.

Consumers need to be aware of your rules...posting is a funny profitable business for you to pretend you don't know what's coming and going.

loan modifications
BAnk of America adverties "making home affordable" and modifications to keep homeowners in their homes but the reality is that they do not have any programs and wont modify your loan! How can the largest bank in the country treat their customers so poorly? They didnt mind taking my money year after year on my mortgage but dont ask for a modificatin if you have a Fannie mae loan and your income is reduced they will forclose on your home and sell it for pennys.

Bank of Ameirca is taking advantage of their customers and has fraudulant advertising.

Lack of customer service
Why is it that a company of the size of Bank of America cannot have a web site or telephone service to address customer problems. If you call them you are routed in circles and/or you have to mumble to get an agent to pick up the phone. When you try to contact them online you never get a response. It would appear that they cannot keep CEO's and having to pay out on their poor decision making has cost us all. I have a phone number for their office in Simi Valley but it is as bad as all of the rest of the phone numbers. I can only hope that they tank!

New Charges on Closed Account
I closed a business account with Bank of America this past Spring after years of bad business practices by the bank. In May they sent me a check for the balance left in the account. Now they are claiming that the account is overdrawn by $35.00, that they are referring the matter to the banking industry's collection agency and that by doing so I wouldn't be able to open another account at a different bank. <br />
<br />
I must say that I'm impressed by their idiotic insolence. They have raised inane incompetence to the level of art form.<br />
<br />
By the way, BofA, I've had an account at another bank since January. They may not be prefect but they treat their customers a whole lot better than BofA.

Worst bank ever
I thought these days banks treasure their good reliable spenders but I was so wrong after talking to their customer service one night last week. Apparently part of their credit card business (not sure about the others because I really dont like BofA all along) is based on "gotcha, bastard!".

I was literally $13 over my 20K limit in May when I paid a club membership that's worth 16K thru my their visa card. Then I was slapped on a $39 fine, which I complained about and got it refunded, but then I was charged $49 followed by another $14.

This bank is not for real. It's clear to me part of their core business model is built on their clients' carelessness instead of their credit worthy, nor relationships. The "I win, because you screw up, ha ha" childish mindset explains why banks like this are crooks and should not be rewarded with any business whatsoever, and their arrogant customer service, let alone a bail out.

I spent close to 100K through them since May 2008. Knowing this bank is such a mean bank I should have taken the business to somewhere else. Shame on me.

It's never too late. Just closed this thing once and for all. No regret from either side.

Bye bye BofA. I hope your chapter 11 is just around the corner.

Overdraft Fees
My father keeps getting overdraft fees from Bank Of America, which he has noticed is at the end of every month (also when they approve ALL the pendings in order to screw you with overdraft fees).. I mean it's kind of odd that they have purchases pending for OVER A WEEK and then when they know you have low funds they screw you with all the pendings at once to get an overdraft fee out of you.

Anyone else have this problem? Also whenever he goes to the gas station and uses his card at the pump a $1 fee always is shown on his statement but then when it isn't pending anymore it mysteriously disappears.. HMM.. could it be another attempt to overdraft?

My father is seriously considering going to Blumenthal about this problem with Bank Of America, and after a show talking about how this guy made a program for Bank Of America that they paid millions of dollars to have so they can screw the american people, I can't believe nobody thinks this is illegal when it clearly is the ULTIMATE SCAM..
