no response
My phone got stolen ten months ago. I reported it and contacted cell c and waited for them to inform me if i am insured or not. I have sent off all the paper work a couple of times with promises from them to sort it out, In the mean time i am paying every month and got no use of a phone and neither a simcard. My free minutes that forms part of the package, i cant even use. Ten times 450-500 rands a month. Its almost five thousand rand A gentleman named Jonas assist me with promises and promises and promised me to sent me a form so i can choose a new phone. Nothing. We keep on calling and no response. Please help.

WORST SERVICE EVER
I signed up for 2 contracts after a call from CellC direct. Received the phones in 4 days. it's been 10 days and stilll my sims have not been activated or ported to the excisting numbers. I have phoned 084145 32 times.
Complained on their websites 3 times Redf No:1106295810, 1107012505 and 1107055231. Explain to me please - when I went on the web and asked to be phoned regarding a new contract - I was phoned very fast. The lady, however, put the phone down when I wanted to complain about me problem . Phoned Cape Town offices twice and J/Burg H/Office twice. Emailed many times to Tell Trevor. Put a complaint on another site. Was emailed this morning by Benjamin and after many emails...still nothing. I also asked for a list of phones that I can exchange the ones for that I received, relevant to the contracts I signed for.
Who can help to unmask this false advertising of excellent customer service, there is no service - never excellent. !!! Please just activate my sims and give me the list of exchange phones.

COMPLETELY CLUELESS
My contract was renewed approximately 2 months ago, and my phone was upgraded to a Blackberry Curve 8520
The phone did not present with any problems until the evening of Thursday the 23rd of June.
From that date up until now, I have experienced the following problems with the phone:
- Cannot make calls: Says ‘call failed’ on screen when attempt to make calls
- Cannot receive calls
- Cannot send or receive smses
My sim card works in other phones, and other people’s sim cards work in my phone
On Saturday the 25th of June, I took the phone to Cell C in Cresta. Several of the staff members attempted to sort out the problem, checking various settings, and attempted a sim swap. They eventually admitted that they had no idea what the problem may be. One of the staff members suggested a software upgrade. I left the phone with him, but kept my sim card as, running my own business, I cannot afford to be without. He phoned me the following day, having done the software upgrade, claiming that the phone was now in working order. When we tried my sim card, the same problems were encountered. The sales representative then phoned the call center, who didn’t have a clue how to manage the problem, and said that they would call back by Wednesday. Of course, I received no such call. Very poor service.
On Friday, mother phoned the call center. This time they said that there was no problem on their side, and that I should contact the Blackberry call center. It took me 2 days to get through, after which they told me to phone back on the Blackberry with my sim card in it (Clearly not having understood a single thing I had explained… If I was able to do that, I would not be talking to you)
On Saturday the 2nd of July, I returned to the Cell C shop in Cresta, and explained that the problem had still not been rectified. Once again, various sales assistance fumbled with the phone for a few moments (Again), commented that it was a weird problem (yes, now sort it out) and called the call center, who, this time, could only suggest a sim swap..
Cresta then sent me to the Northgate branch, as this was where the contract was opened. Though they attempted to assist, and promised to get back to me on Monday (which they did) they too were uncertain as to how to rectify the problem. Today they left a message on my phone, requesting that I phone you.
Not only am I now not able to use the phone, I have wasted a huge amount of time and spent vast amounts, unnecessarily on call charges and petrol. I have been sent from place to place and since the 25th of June as nobody appears to know the correct course of action to take. The entire process is incredibly frustrating and tedious, and I am no less than disgusted by the poor service that I have received, and by the incompetence of your employees.
This is clearly a faulty phone. I would like the phone to be replaced with another Blackberry, as soon as possible because it is quite obvious to me, after having spoken to approximately 12 different people from Cell C and Blackberry, that people in the field do not know how to fix it.

unfair billing
Sir/Madam

1. The matter between me and Cell C has the following reference.

2. In October 2009 I have received the billing letter from Cell C stating that I must pay R1399.00 from their bill whereas the contract agreement was R99.00. I was so surprise when I discovered that I was subscribed with Exact Mobile that was billing me every minute.

3. I have contacted several Cell C shops including Colognade Cell C shop in Pretoria and they have failed to resolve the matter. I have requested Cell C to pay the agreed amount excluding Exact Mobile and Cell C denied and told me it was not possible to pay them without paying Exact Mobile. Then I decided to stop paying at all because I knew that I did not subscribe with Exact Mobile.

4. Then I referred the matter to my lawyers who referred me to ICASA. ICASA referred me to WASPA. WASPA told me in writing that the matter has been resolved with the service provider that’s Exact Mobile. So I went to Cell C and told them that the matter has been resolved the only thing I want from them was to give me advice as to how to make payment to them of which they fail to come with the solution as the statement was still including the bill of Exact Mobile.

4. I am very much prepared to repay Cell C as they are the people I entered the contract of R99.00 a month with and not Exact Mobile. I feel I was not treated fair by Cell C in resolving the matter as there was no professional correspondence between them and myself. Their staff members were unable to give assistance to me even though I told them I was prepared to pay the bill that excludes Exact Mobile and today I have to go through their lawyers to settle the matter which is unfair to me.

careless customer service
I made an agreement contract of 2year with Cell c in August 2010 for a sumsang phone in Makro. In December 2010 the phone was giving me problems and i took it in at Makro for repairs, got the phone back late January 2011 but it still had a problem, it could not switch on, so i thought the problem was with the phone battery. I then took the phone in at Cell c in Menlyn in February 2011 for it to be checked together with the battery. I received a notice via sms, in March 2011 that my phone is ready for collection. I went to the store only to find that the phone was back but the battery was not there, the assistant then told me that they will contact the drivers who make deliveries so they can bring it. In the same month I went back to Cell c to check if the battery had been found so that I can collect my phone as I have refused to collect it without the battery. I went again to Cell c Menlyn in April 2011 to collect the phone hoping that it had the battery this time, I didnt have the collection receipt but I had my ID book with, the assistant went to the back to check the phone, he even asked me what kind of phone it is and I explained, he checked for a while and came back just to tell me that they cant give me the phone if I dont have the collection slip or proof of purchase so I left. I went again in April 2011 but this time the phone was not even there, they searched the store-room for about an hour and the phone was no where to be found, I asked to see the manager 1guy said the manger had just went out, and the other said the manager was not in, the lady assistant said she will follow it up and phone me personally to update me on the progress, I was furious and left the store not helped. I went to Cell c again in May 2011, this time the assistant who assisted me seemed to be helpful, he checked and said matter was never followed up, he made a call i think to the help desk, to inform them about the matter and that the battery is missing while the phone was handed in with the battery, he then said to me they will get me a new battery but the process will take 3days and he will then call me. I waited for the call on the 3rd day, i even called him and he said the battery is comming from town, which is just 30min drive to Menlyn. I called him again after a couple of days but there was no progress. It is now almost end of June 2011 I still haven't received the package of my phone and the battery.

Bad service
I bought a Cellc F250 cellphone from the Cell C shop in River Square, Vereeniging, on 04/06/2011. As advertised, it was supposed to include a preloaded package with data, free sms's and free CellC to Cell C call minutes. It was not . After a lot of calls to the store, logging complants on both the Cell C helpline and the Cell C mobile website, i still have no package on the phone. I find the after sales service very bad. And from my point of view this was false advertising since the package wasn't preloaded as advertised.

Calling the wrong number
I'm compalining about Cell C customer service department they keep on calling my number and asking to speak to the person whom I don't know and when I told them that I don't know the person they becoming rude to me and what is bothering me within an hour 3 people using the same number is calling me and I'm sick and tired for answering their number (031 0000006) or 0877009300, please assist me

Incompetecy
The Cell C bill was paid up and we have been battling for more than 2 months for Cell C to remove us from ITC. We phone them, we e-mail them, they promise to phone back, which they don't do. We battle to get through to them. When we ask for complaints dept at their switchboard, they put us through to where ever because we hold for 30+ min without anybody answering. They are the most unprofessional company in South Africa, No wonder nobody wants their services anymore. They are useless!!!

wrong full billed
I had a cell c contract a few years ago and just as it was about to finish there were some payment problems, firstly i had made a mistake and paid the money into a incorrect account, then once nedbank and confirmed this i asked the costomer service department of cell c to please do a debit, which was not done ...on i have check on the itc web site and it shows that they have written off the debit, so why are you still sending me your red letters and make a fuss . i have had it with you guys first i tryed to correct the problem, but you were to busy with all your other millon complaints .now this was an account from before your change over . please can you have my name removed from a blacklisting and by legal right it should haven wirtten off, you guys did not both contact me all these many years and now all of a sudden you think you can just rock up and add interest to that account .

your campany sucks always has and always will, i wander were your great ceo is now, when there is a real problem . i want you to contact me and take my name of the blacklisted list . [email protected]

INCOMPETENCE
I would just like to ask you where do I complain about poor service? as I have been battling with Cell C since February this year - They keep barring my phone at the most inconvenient times, they have all my banking details and fail to take the debit order off each month I have sent about 10 e-mails and called numerous times even been into the store and I have watched them enter my details and submit them and still their incompetence causes me to be without a working cell phone> ?
yesterday a man called Victor called me 3 times to say that the problem is rectified and this morning when I got stuck in traffic and late for work I could not call in to excuse myself why cause they have once again barred my cell? HOW DOES THIS GET SORTED?
