I cannot make a call out
I had hoped this would solve my problem of a land phone, well, at first it worked for a couple of days and then it was down hill for the rest of the days I have had it, when it works it is very clear sound. Right now I cannot make a call out and I have worked with their tech people for a hour or two at a time, I guess I will return to Walmart for a exchange hoping for one that works right. anyone who can help, please let me know.

They suck your money like leeches
I had Magicjack for 2 years, never had area code that was in my area. I was always told area code would be soon. Now MagicJack shows (204) Winnipeg listing. I tried to change number, not listed when I go to option to change. Contact MagicJack support, was told would need to throw current MagicJack away, purchase a new MagicJack, pay $10 more for (204). Glad didn't purchase 5 yr plan, so can see no loyality to previous customers.

This company practices deceptive marketing and unethical business practices. I bought a 5 year contract with a 30 day trial, then canceled due to the same echo effects and poor sound quality mixed with non-existant service. They tried to fight it and I had to go through a circus with the credit card company but finally prevailed. STAY AWAY! These guys will eventually end up in jail.

My magicjack does not work well about every time I use it
My magicjack does not work well about every time I use it. The usual answer of a "live agent" is to download the upgrade (every day?). Recently an upgrade of the Magicjack service was made, which is taking away the possibility to participate in a conference call. In short, extremely unreliable and the service is being cut down. A reason or me to have the magicjack was to participate in hour long conference calls.

Very bad results for many calls
Have had a magic Jack almost 2 years on line. Servise is poor. Many times can't hear and has suck an ecco you can't use it. Called curtomer service several times. They said my cable service was too slow. I changed to a High speed cable and had the same bad results. I give up! I also tried it on another brand new computer. Same bad results for many calls.

Deceptive advertising
Enrolled for 5-year plan. Magic Jack now regularly drops calls, has poor line quality, now USB device is not recognized by Windows 7. Spent hours on chat window with worthless, disrespectful techs. Asked for money back on unused portion of service (4 years). They are refusing, saying once service is activated, it is non-refundable even though nowhere on 5 Year service plan site can you find any info stating these terms. They are an outright pyramid scam. Don't fall for these deceptive, greed-driven people!

Customer support is horrible and the website is hard to follow
We bought this thing and here is my why this thing sucks so much..
1. CRACKLES HORRIBLE SOUND(was not our expensive phone, it works just fine with a regular phone provider nor the new computer)
2. Wreaked 2 of my computers, One was brand new!!
3. Customer support is horrible and the website is hard to follow.
4. Its all a Scam, don't waste your money on this piece of junk!!!

Do not buy this piece of crap
I bought a majic jack in mar of 2009 one day it was working fine the next it stopped I contacted there tech support when though 3 hours trying to make it work it is broken and the want to change 10.00 shipping and handling for a new one DON"T BUY this piece of crap this is not the first time I have bought off the internet and been screwed don't buy anything on line!

Our majic jack has not worked for weeks .you get a dial tone you dial the number and then it shuts off. I cannot find any help or number to contact magic jack.

Magic Jack has to be the single worst investment I have ever made. It does not perform as advertised; there is no clarity in either reception or transmission. I have spent hours and hours on the computer with tech support and everyone tells me it is fixed and yet when I use the product, the voice quality on either end is as if you are talking under water. I know in life you get what you pay for and magic jack was a quick fix for me since I didn't want to put a land line into a residence I would use for only 3 months. How stupid and gullible could I have been to have believed the advertising??? I guess pretty stupid and very gullible. Don't make the same mistake I have, save your money and your time (which is as valuable as cash) and DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I HAVE; DO NOT PURCHASE MAGIC JACK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Tech help is polite, knowledgeable and kind, but ultimately powerless to make it better. I have tried every fix under the sun and NOTHING works. Calls don't come in, people can't hear me or if they can hear me, they are unable to understand me. I do not understand them. It is as if I am talking through a voice changing device, where the voice is so well disguised that the speech is unintelligible to anyone on the other end. Try making calls to businesses like that... get a land line or increase the minutes on your cell.
