Coverage map lied
I live in central NJ, and used to use AT&T as cell phone carrier. The signal was weak at home where is the primary place I use cell phone. So I did some research and found at T-Mobile's website that my place is in their best voice coverage. When my contract with AT&T ended, I switched to T-Mobile.

I'm very disappointed with T-Mobile's signal at home. Sometimes it's OK, but sometimes the cell phone didn't even ring when someone called me because there is NO signal bar on my cell phone at all. Just to be clarified that weak signal is NOT caused by my cell phone because I have a brand new Nokia phone.

When I mentioned this to T-Mobile, the only thing they can do is to check the coverage just like I did, and told me my place is in the best coverage. (Thanks for telling me! I knew that already.) They're sorry that I had bad signal, but there is nothing they can do. (That's great!)

So they lied about their voice coverage on their website.

I'll definitely change the carrier when current contract ends.

misleading advertisement
I went to t-mobile to do a 2yr upgrade because my phone broke. On the advertisement it said all I have to pay is $15 to get a blackberry and it required either a data plan or unlimited text sign up. I then sign up but was told I don't qualify without signing an additional $15/month for text messages. I called 611 which is sales rep and she told me that I had to pay and additional $15/monthly on this phone to have unlimited text. I told her why do I need to sign up a separate unlimited text on this if 'm already paying $20/monthly on my family plan unlimited text messages. I asked for the manager and he told me that they are not willing to help on this issue. I was told that he does not care on me being a customer since 2002 and obviously don't care to loose a client. They had a misleading sign and it is very upsetting that they do not care for long term client relationship. I 'am very upset about what happened. I have a photo to proof about their misleading advertisement. They wasted my time and made my day miserable.

batteries/now an acessory
T-mobile is saying now that a a cell phone battery is now an acessory before if I had any problem with the battery or the phone if you were under warranty they send you a replace one BUT now that I am having problems with the battery and still under warranty the battery is an acessory that I need to buy one. That's one of the thing that I have with T-Mobile they are also VERY RUDE people

Excessive fees/Rude customer service
T-Mobile is trying to charge me an Early Termination fee after 8 years of service and trying to say I was using an non existint bank to pay bills .

To add insult to injury, the reciepts I have have all faded to blank pages because the ink they use fades after 6 months .I paid in cash after they stopped accepting my checks . and you guessed it they claim I didn't pay. And they have turned me over to collections.

T-Mobile customer service stinks
I have been suffering with my bad decision to use T-Mobile. I live in the center of Phoenix, AZ and get little or no coverage. T-Mobile could care less-I am bound by their contract. I am a decision maker with a small company that has 20+ Alltel phones. T-Mobile will not get any of this business at any price. T-Mobile customer service stinks.

Refuses to fix erroneous overage charges
I have been a long-time customer of TMobile, utilizing its services since 2002. My dispute began as a result of a billing error that TMobile refused to address.

For most of 2008, I used the unlimited text messaging service. I switched to the 1000 month before switching back unlimited after incurring overage charges. I spoke with a TMobile rep who confirmed the service change which would reflect the following billing cycle.

About 2 billing cycles later, I was shocked to find an excess ~$300 charged through autopay. I checked my account online to find that the ~$300 was for text overages and in addition, another cycle had just completed with ~$200 in overages.

I contacted customer service about the overages as I had requested months earlier to change back to unlimited texts. The rep bounced me around before my call was taken by another rep who informed me they had no record of the request. I attempted to reason with her, stating I received confirmation and that my phone usage would not have changed so dramatically otherwise. When she failed to resolve my problem, I requested to speak with a supervisor who she said would call me within 24 hours.

When no call came, I contacted customer service again. I was told that they would not be able to help me since my account was tagged to speak with a supervisor only earlier that day and it would take at least another 72 hours for a callback.

Days passed with no callback so I reported to the BBB in hopes of expediting a resolution. Shortly after, I received a call from a supervisor in response to my BBB complaint. I thought we'd be able to resolve the issue but instead I was surprised to find that the rep was rude and disrespectful, repeatedly speaking over me whenever I attempted to explain the situation. The rep refused to address my issues, instead vehemently maintaining that it was "fault".

I pointed out that it made no sense that my phone usage would change so dramatically unless I requested the change in my text plan. I further stated that I'd been using TMobile for several years, I have no record of non-payment, complaints, or any other blemishes. I implored him to check his records as I am sure there would be records of my request if they recorded the phone calls as they claimed.

The rep ignored me and offered me $200 goodwill credit despite knowing it was my "fault". I declined the offer, stating that it isn't fair to have a loyal customer pay for a TMobile representative's mistake. I told him I hope to be able to resolve the dispute without resorting litigation to which he responded by scoffing, and telling me he would see me in court and report my answer to the BBB.

I made another attempt to contact TMobile via email, and again they offered me a small credit, refusing to address my issues or even the unruly rep I encountered. I maintained my position, stating that I was promised a service by a rep of TMobile, which I did not receive, and as a result incurred costs I wouldn't have otherwise. Again, the rep refused to address my issues.

To my surprise upon sharing my plight with TMobile mistakes and their horrendous customer service, I met several other customers who have experienced similar problems who are also disputing with TMobile and encountering horrible customer service. Like me, I know many people has left or intend to leave TMobile.

One would think that after paying for their services for so many years, the least they could do was hear me out for a few minutes. It really does make you wonder whatever happened to that old saying "the customer's always right". I guess maintaining consumer confidence is no longer the primary concern for Corporate America, most notably, TMobile.

Simply awful
I bought a new phone last november__all the paper work was filled out (mostly by the salesperson) and received by T Mobile. However, when I still did not have my rebate by the first of Jan. I called them. Then I received a letter saying there had been a problem with some of the rebates related to the type of phone I bought but they said I'd have it within a month. Well a month is up and still no rebate check. I called yesterday, 2/13 and a very rude person (#493815) was giving me the same run-a-round about how something manually had happened to the rebate requests. I'm tired of waiting and being told I have to jump through more and more hoops to get my promised rebate. And then they have the audacity to charge $18 to renew a 2 year contract. They're lucky to have me as a customer (9 years and never missed a payment). I want my rebate, I want out of my contract because they are not honoring their end of the deal. I am finished with t-mobile as soon as my kids contracts are finished we are switching.

PRICING
If you have a family please do not go with T-mobile. My son wanted a shadow so bad for christmas I went out to t-moblie to get the phone, but with a family of four I needed unlimited talk and text. Well they gave me a plan with 1500 minutes which doesnt work for chatty teens and when I asked what it would cost to make 4 lines unlimited they wanted to charge me my first born. I really did a bad thing signing a contact please dont do it!!! When I asked the questions what would it cost to cancel and the rep said 200 dollars per phone. This company stinks and doesnt like loyal customers I just wanted unlimited with out living on the streets to pay all the extra charges. Big mistake on my part.

Customer No Service
I have been a T-mobile customer for 12 years (voicestream). Recently I wanted to upgrade my phone to a newer Samsung so called phone upgrade. I found what I wanted online called in to get the phone. Online it was free for a NEW CUSTOMER, but because I was an OLD CUSTOMER I had to pay 199.00 for the same phone. I couldn't believe what I was hearing a loyalty customer is getting thrown under the bus. I asked to talk to the supervisor same thing. So there you have it once your in Forget about the company taking care of you. It's all about the new customer!!!
