Over Charge
I have a Blackberry phone and it stopped working. I went to the store and told them I needed a replacement. Itwas under the extended warranty. Ike waited on me and he looked up the account but told me the warranty did not include a new telephone. I explained that two months earlier we were told that we were due for an upgrade at no charge. He told us the phone would be inexcess of $500.00. or if we sign a new two year committment it would be around $200.00 once we received the rebate. I asked him on four occassions about the cost of a new phone since we were told it would be free since we had the warranty. He kept saying no. I went to another person in the store who confirmed I was right. I asked to speak to the manager, Shawn Devonish but he appears to be too busy to speak with anyone since he never came out from the back of the store. I explained to the staff that I would make sure everyone I knew was aware that they are scamming people. Still no call from the manager. I suppose they simply dont care.

Service Reconnect
I used my friend's credit card to pay my bill. After two months, I received a call from Verizon saying that my payment had some error and my service has been shut. I didn' receive any email/text/call before they cut my service.I paid again. Now they are billing me $15 for reconnecting my service.

Early Termination Fee
Being a customer for 10 years, Verizon is the worst cell phone carrier!!! We bought BlackBerry Storms and they have been all problems. We complain and they fix our phone. They finally upgraded us to BlackBerry Storm 2 and they are just as bad. We complained again. They gave us flip phones and are charging us $140 for them. Absolutely ridiculous! So they want to charge us for phones??? Then they came today and they are preowned. Lovely. just gets better. Verizon is the worst and their customer service is terrible.

Overcharge
Signed up with Verizon for bundled phone and internet services for our new business - first bill included over $200 of overcharges. Supposedly the agent didn't run the order through the 'bundling tool'. Charges were removed, but in my experience with Verizon they'll most likely return in a month or two. Is there no recourse? Shouldn't there be a penalty for Verizon for these kinds of 'errors' (always in their favor)? This is an abuse of their monopoly power and should be prosecuted.
Warning to Verizon customers: inspect your bills carefully and make sure every charge is justified because this is a company that has institutionalized its accounting errors and must surely make millions (if not billions) from this kind of theft.

Bill colletion after switching to Comcast
When I switched to Comcast for phone service, Verizon shut off my on-line account where I paid my bills, sent a final bill in the mail, and then claim a collection notice was sent by another company - which I never got. They did not call for collection or send any other notices. I thought my last bill was paid, but for a lousy $200 final bill they ruined my vcredit for 7 years. I later learned that they split off my mobile phone account, which was current, but never told me they were doing that. Donlt let them combine billing, it is for their benefit and not yours.
Verizon will not help because they really donlt care.

verizon wireless is like thw wrose company ever to deal with if i had to start all over again i would get a prepay phone reap are always lying about my plan one day i gotta pay this amount then the next day i have another amount how is that possible there are to many lies and scams with verizon wireless and im really upset with them the supervisors are rude they have hunged up on me numerous times but yet they are quick to take a payment and to hung up but to resolve a problem never if i could disconnect with no charge i would i hate this company dont reccomended it to nobody

I went in and bought two phones and the piece to connect to the internet, where I live, I could not get service, called to see if I could get help, maybe an antenna and no one knew what would work and was told on the phone, within 30 days I could get a refund. Before the month was through I was billed over $600.00. Was on the phone to get this bill down where it was supposed to be while calling for an antenna. Meanwhile, I sent in what I was suppose to on all three items for a rebate, Verizon never honored any of them. They received the info because I sent all three through the mail certified. I took all three items back in 26 days and I have the receipt to show this. I call them, Verizon says it was over 30 days. I turned this matter over to a lawyer. I haven't received a dime for the items returned, in excellent condition and now they have forgotten me and I haven't heard any word from them. I will turn this matter over to the FCC and BBB. Don't use them, can't get service everywhere and it is a shady company. I now use US Cellular. I receive service everywhere, never cheated me. I am happy with them.

called verizon in regards to my husband's phone not working(able to upgrade in 2 months) was told i could get replacement phone ordered phone received phone opened only to find out it was a used phone that had been refurbished was not told this at time of order had i have been told i would have declined and purchased a trac phone i paid $75.00 for a used one and was told by a verizon employee that there was nothing that could be done short of sending phone back (which would not had to happen if i was told in the first place) i do believe that misinforming customers is bad business on verizons part and am seriously thinking about finding different provider you should know that you could lose a valued customer who pays her bill on time for 75.00 dollars think about it

Terrible customer service
On Dec. 9th I called Verizon and asked them to transfer my two phone lines from another carrier to Verizon FIOS and and add on internet service. I repeatedly asked whether the cables had already been put in the ground near my home (so as not to be held up when they can't dig because the ground is frozen). They assured me that it was and all that was needed was for a technician to come out and install the service. So we scheduled for Dec 21. Friday morning (Dec 17) they call to tell me ... they need to bury the line and that the ground is frozen. They suggested I cancel the FIOS order and apply to get DSL. After spending close to three hours on the phone, I was disconnected. All I had was a cancelled order. But Verizon failed to notify my old carrier NOT to drop my phone line. Monday morning (Dec 20) I exit my house in the morning and I find a Verizon van in front! They installed the cable on my premises. I go back inside to call Verizon to place another order to get the FIOS deal. A new order is created. Tuesday morning (Dec 21) I wake up to a discontinued phone number. My previous carrier had cancelled my service. Verizon doesn't recognize my new order ... So here I am hanging in space. Verizon has no customer service where a consumer can call and speak to a rep they've spoken to before. Every phone call is torture; pushing all the menu buttons - getting thru to the wrong departments - endlessly kept on hold! - the list goes on and on! The worst thing is not to be able to get a number of a person in authority to help!

Illegal billing practices
Verizon home internet services illegally adds services to my account nearly every month without my permission. I have spoken with account supervisors who have explained to me that services cannot be added to my account without my verbal permission. I have NEVER given permission for any optional services to be added to my account. I have to call and have them removed when I get the bill for them. I have to scrutinize my bill every month and take time out of my busy day to get it corrected, usually not without a fight. At the present time, I have had to call every month for the past 5 months to get unauthorized charges removed from my account. These charges include service plans, virus protection, game packages, music packages, and charges for equipment that I did not ask for but was told that I qualified for as an upgrade free of charge. I am not the only one who experiences this, as friends and family who live in other households also go through the same fight to have their bills corrected periodically.
