Not Satisfied
Our local walmart store has recently remodeled. They have made the isles wider and removed a lot of the clutter that used to be there. They claim that the products have not changed and that they will still have everything they had before. The last five or six trips to walmart, I have not completed one single list of items I went to pick up. One of walmarts big things is being a one-stop-shop store. Today I went to our local walmart store to buy my son some overalls. We have had a lot of snow over the past couple days, and being a teenager he wants to play in it on his 4 wheeler. After driving almost 30 minutes in the snow, we find out that walmart dosent have any coveralls. Couldnt even find a place where they used to be. On my way to the other side of the store, I found a manager. When I asked him, he told me coveralls were not in season. I laughed at him, we have 6 inches of snow on the ground in January. He made one excuse after another. I asked about other items that they no longer carry, and he had no answers. When I mentioned that my wife was already buying her groceries somewhere else because of lower prices, he let me know that he would make it with or without me. Well I gave him that chance by leaving empty handed. If I had of bought the items on my list today, it would have been over $200. I will take my money elsewhere and will tell anyone who will listen why I have done it.

being fired
I used to work for wal-mart up until August of 2009. I was fired because of having 27 minutes of over-time. They called it insubordination. My store manager was racist and we heard her making fun of other associates. I was treated unfairly. They were writing people up for being five minutes over when other people had hours of overtime and nothing was done to them. I was a full-time employee for almost six years and I called in a total of five times the whole time I worked there. I got a d-day for not having donuts out at 6:30 am but according to company policy they didn't have to be out until 7am. But since I'm not there anymore they are not being put out until 9am or later.

terrible company to work for
Walmart is the worst company. My Husband worked for the Walmart in Wilton, NY. The hire you and give you a handbook and tell to do things which the handbook clearly states that Walmart pays for all work done. If you help a customer off the clock, then the EMPLOYEES are clearly stated to change there time. But when WAL-MART needs to get ride of people they lie and use this against the emplyees and say that these changes are illigitament and just fire the employee without listening to anything the employee has to say. Its a trap that walmart uses to fire people. They call this steeling company time. Yet these are only request, so they approved then and they were legitament, so if walamart did't believe him then why would that they approve them, because walmart needed to get rid of people. If they are going to use what the handbook says aginst employees then they need to remove the statement in there handbooks that all work must be payed That if you help custmers off the clock the change your time accordingly. Also the need to take the signs in the breakroom that say this. They are lyers and scamers. they think that because the are a big coorporation that they can get away with this and noone will say anything or take them to the labor department.

Fraud
On Jan. 13th 2010 I received a call from my 84 year old mother at my home saying my bank had called and said my checking account had been compromised. I rushed to my bank leaving work. I was informed that the banks fraud department had a few other instances of check fraud and that the one thing the victims had in common was that they wrote checks at the Walmart in Crestwood, IL.
I told my bank that the only checks I wrote were to pay bills and to Walmart in Crestwood as well. I went home found my receipts for the checks I wrote to Walmart dating all the way to June of 09 with the last check being written there on Dec. 23, 09.
I called the Walmart and the manager James McAlpine said he had no knowledge of any fraud occurring by his employees at his store. I gave him my receipt info which told what tellers checked me out. Someone else from the store then called me back and said they were checking into it but it was circumstantial at best.
I called Crestwood police who told me they had gotten other complaints re: that particular store but that I needed to file a report with the police where I lived, which I then went and did.
I called the Crestwood store the next day, the 14th, demanding to have my bank reimbursed as well as myself for the time off work needed to straighten this whole mess out. I went back to the bank on the 14th as well, to sign affidavits and was told that an 88 year old woman on social security, just had the same thing happen to her. She wrote a check to Walmart in Crestwood as well.
I called Wallmart again on the 14th and told them I would go to the media. I immediately received a call back from the head of the southside stores, Chris at 815 730-9170. He told me they were aware of what was going on but that the Secret Service was involved as this was a 4 state operation and if I went to the media the people involved who pack there bags and go some where else and they would not get the ones making the checks. That day I also received a call from Dave Prendergast from the Secret Sevice Chicago field office 312 353-5431 who basically told me the same thing but added that I should not be so upset as the banks were the ones who were really losing money. He also states that he was in the store on Dec 23rd and was aware of the employee performing the act. I was also told that I was the 40th victim! I was told that soon the media would be informed as to what went on at that store.
I called Walmart head branch 1800 Walmart, with my complaint as well and was told I wold here from someone in 3 to 5 business days.
I received a call from my bank on the 15th saying my account was in overdraft and could I deposit more money. I started to cry and scream about how I had no other money and that Walmart should be putting the money back as they were the ones allowing this to continue in the name of a greater good. I told my bank what I was told re: the fraud by the Secret Service as well. I called the Walmart headquarters again on the 15th and told them I needed to speak with someone now. I was told the same thing 3 to 5 business days. I called Dave at the Secret Service and complained that he needed to let the banks know what was going on. I have not heard from him since.
Since that time my accounts remain in a mess and on Friday the 23rd I called Walmart again and told them I had not received a call yet and it was over 5 business days, I was told that now my complaint would be given to the next person up and he would call me in 3 to 5 business days!
So here I wait... Walmart's slogan, Save money, Live Better should instead be: Walmart Employees will take your money so your life becomes a living HELL!
Does Walmart care...come on what do you think!!!

Cashier
I just went in to Walmart and purchased 2 items. I told the cashier one was cash, which was a pizza. The other was a xbox points card and that was going on my debit. She rang it up and told me $20.00..I swiped my card and put in my pin. She was too busy talking to other cashiers that came up to her register, there were about 4, and she turned around, and started ringing up other items that belonged to the customers behind me. I asked her what she was doing? Those items are not mine..I had already said this to her, and had my total. She got mad, went to the service desk, and I followed. The problem is, I had 28.00 in the bank. After paying 20.00 for the points card I would have had 8.00 left. As it turned out, my account was charged $48.68. I have overdraft protection, but it still charges me 32.00. I asked to speak to the manager, and he said; "We will reprimand her". "That's all we can do!" I will tell you, January 2nd, I spent 2500.00 for two t.v.'s..plus, another 700.00 for a laptop..plus, another 400.00 for clothing. Which I still have the receipts for. I spend a lot of money in this store, and to have something like this happen, because of an incompetent cashier, I am floored! No one wanted to rectify the situation. I got the cash I was overcharged..but am still charged an extra 32.00 from my bank due to a cashier who was too busy talking to everyone else around her, then has the audacity to act like she is mad. Like it was my fault! I will not be shopping there again. I am sorry to say that, because I like Walmart, but I refuse to be treated like dirt due to someone elses mistake, who was "supposedly" trained as a cashier.
Manager's name: Greg Perkins.
Network I.D: 0090

I have added all this because I do not know where the cashier number is.

NOT customer friendly
Wow! Walmart is NOT customer friendly anymore! First, you take away the layaway and today I drove (with gas at $2.75 a gallon) 15 miles to get my daughter registered for her baby shower only to find that YOU REGISTER ONLINE NOW. I guess the only thing walmart employees are required to do now is check people out! What happened to Customer Service. Employ all the out of work people and concentrate on making your customers happy again!

Hate Walmart

They don't allow you support recycle, reuse plastic bag.
After I return my item, I fold the used plastic bag in a roll and plant to reuse them as trash bag at home. Support plastic bag re-use, don't want to create so many trash in landfill.
They told me I can't bring the used bag in, even I roll it into a ball and put inside my purse.
Then they look into my purse and found I use another bookstore company plastic bag as my coupon bag, they said I can't bring in the small plastic bag in either, I have to take out all my coupon (about 20 of them) from the plastic bag and let it loosely lay inside the purse, and hang over the plastic bag to them.
Then they take away both plastic bag from me and trash them.

I got my glasses from the vision center and didn't have them 3 months and the arm broke and I took them back and thy fixed them 2 days later the frame broke across the middle. I took them back again and thy said there was nothing they could do for me the frames were discontinude and they didn't even want to make it good to me so now I am stuck will a pair of $ 600.00 pair of glasses I can't even were and it's not even been a year yet. I think walmart should make it good and give me an equal pair of glasses.

Did not honor price tag and threw it away acted as if I was a liar and cheater
I went to purchase a e-machine computer there was a price tag in front of it a small white sticker that had the price of $298.00 when I went to the register to pay for it, it rang up $398.00 when I said something to the cashier she called back to electronics and asked them they said someone put the wrong price tag up last night. They then went and took the tag down and then told me that it was for a different model and when I asked to see the tag it took them at least 15 minutes to come up front with a big tag that was not there for a different model. I said I wanted to see the manager and was told there was not a manager on duty. Then I told them that they were being decietful and then all the sudden there appeared a manager. He said this was the only tag they had although me and my Husband know better we both saw the price tag and are now being called liars... I asked the manager who took the price tag off and of course he didn't know... I told him to go and look at his cameras and find out who took off the tag, He came back about 20 minutes later with two pictures that were blurry and He knows they have all kinds of angles and he brought one that wasn't even up close he had one that was at the end of an asle. He refused to give me the computer for the price and more or less called me andmy husband liars. While we waited for the pictures I went back to the electronics department and asked who took down the tag and a young guy said he did and that he threw it away because that is what he is supposed to do.I asked him how he could throw something away when it was being questioned and he said because he was supposed to when I asked him for it he and another female associate so called looked for it but it couldn't be found.

returns
Derrick at the Griffin GA Walmart went as far as to send us to different mangers (that were reporting to him) to simply waste our time. We tried to return a Christmas gift and because I didn't not have a receipt the cashier at returns -Bridgit - would not return the gift. She told me that I had used my 3 returns without a receipt. When I mentioned could my wife return it she said that actually they don't even accept returns on this item (it was a CAN OPENER) - A lie and a change from the original story. Derrick the supervising manager sent us back to returns saying he would be there shortly. He never showed and eventually sent another manager who said he (Derrick) was not going to change his mind and take the item back (OK - why could he not tell this to my wife and I directly). Then he arrived and said it was like we were buying beer for our underage son. That we were suspicious and that because now my wife wanted to return the item they could not because it was as if we are trying to buy beer or cigaretts for someone that should not be purchasing those items ( I PROMISE - I AM NOT MAKING THIS STUFF UP). Thanks walmart for keeping me so intertained with the folks you put in charge at your stores.
