wont hire me
well im trying to get on working at walmart again but they wont let me on how i left there, but theres this guy who was drinking on the job and worked as an unloader. he just walked out one day and they know he was drinking but they let him come back, but they wont let me come back. i dont get it

Hiring Process
To whom it may concern,
I would like to give feedback on the current hiring process at Walmart. I was called into an interview at the Burbank location, and was offered a part time position as a Cashier that I was very excited to receive. I had stated on my application and verbally that I have a full time position, and that my availability was in the evening, and anytime on the weekends. When I had finished filling out my paperwork, and was told I had the job, the hiring manager said that Orientation was everyday from 10-7 for a week or more at times and there was no flexibility during this time. I don't understand how Walmart can require this amount of time from people who apply for Part time jobs. Most people applying for these positions are in school, work another day time job, have personal obligations like family, and children, and so forth. I was very disappointed to receive the position that I had hoped for, only to have to give it up due o the strict Orientation time frames.

Battery Warranty
My 3 year old Walmart branded EverStart automotive battery failed this last weekend. The battery (Model 47-3) came with a 2 year replacement warranty, and a 72 month pro rated warranty. My battery was purchased in December 2005. I was told that their "system wouldn't allow them to honor the warranty." I asked to speak to the store manager. The store manager was unavailable, but the assistant manager told me the same thing.
I have written a complaint to the company.
Please be aware that Walmart does not honor its extended warranties.

no advise after arrest geust
I am a international student graduating in next 2 month. Last year the worst time ever in my life, I was arrest in Walmart with class B misdemeanor and set in jail for 18hrs and bail out with $500. I never commit any crime before, I came from rich family in India. This is my first and last offense. My lawyer try to take down the charge to Class C, but the prosecuter not agree, rather she gave option jail time or 9 mnths probation.
Now I apply for the Pre-Trial Diversion. I have lot of the questions running in my mind...but pls, anybody, answer the few iam posting..!
1.If it(pretrial div.) works, for Gods-sake, do i have the problem in my future?
I am in F1 Visa status and living in Texas state. I have to apply for the, H1-B visa. How will case affect the visa of the processing if I was given the Pre-trial diversion or required to take the plea? Someone Wlamart please do the needfull and advise fuly. call 3 times

Prepaid card
Walmart charges a $3 monthly fee + $3 fee for adding money to the card. It is also very difficult to activate a card. The website they give is a generic with dozens of other credit card companys. Tried to actiovate my card and automated teller stated I entered wrong information tio activate my card. It is very difficult to call and talk to customer service.

the employees of this store, not all of them some of them are very rude and unhelpful. When you ask a question or as for help they either arent in that department or they are on break so they dont have to help you further. sometimes it's like pulling teeth to get to someone who will help you or lead you in the right direction.
What happened to customer satisfaction? Did it go to Mexico and China along with all the second rate products the store now carries? This problem is from the Manager all the way down to the employee. Tell you what Walmart, if you spent half the time and money working on employee managers and helping customers as you do reorganizing your stores you'd have a much better business. Its sad that all of our home town stores are going out of business for your Corporate takeovers and that the wonderful small store owners who are happy and glad to help a customer get replaced by your corporation with second rate employees.

Fraud and cheating
I sure would like to have somebody. Not a 'lawyer' or some other jackass. respond.To the reason when you are stopped by some jerk employee feeling they. Like some other jerks responding to this. They have every right to not only abuse their authority by requiring us to stop so they can be sure we are not what 'lawyers' and such may feel we are steeling. Do not police have to have reason for search us. So what separates police from some jerk employee from wanting to abuse their authority.
Could the reason be there are those jerks who feel 'after all we aren't required to do business with the chain.' How does this shotty attitude resolve the issue. I know. After all lawyers know everything. Sure they do. Especially how to be jerks.
What separates a woman from carrying their purse out without it being checked into. From a person using a bag. I know. A woman isn't going to put stuff in their purse and walk out without paying for the stuff. A person using a bag will. Sure sounds like court time. Then again, after all they have every 'right to stop us.'Whatever you jerks say.
Since lawyers love saying how they aren't REQUIRED to do business with us. The same is true for us. We aren't REQUIRED to do business with them.

the "sweepstakes"
I just don't understand why a retail company would advertise on the receipts that you could enter to win a couple thousand dollars on a gift card through them or cash if all it is is to get you to "pay" for another sweepstakes with something that has nothing to do with the retail companies sweepstakes contest.
I think it's a way for them to "get" the money from "other" offers so that they can say "you could win $1, 000.00 gift card."
At least the walgreens sweepstakes surveys are honest and only want your opinion on the customer service at their store in order to have a chance to win.

Horrible Customer Service
Where to start with this wonderful company...Lets go with the East Town one first...On Oct 24 2008 I recieved letters home frommy kids teachers they were having Halloween Parties so I figured I would go to Wal mart and get chips( had to get other items as well) Well they had they 22 bags of varity of potato chips on sale like 3.50 instead of the 5.98 so I grabbed 2 enough for both kids classes I get to check out and they are ringing up higher I point it to the cashier...She calls managment this lady in her mid 50's came over I explained to her the price... She told that she would give me 1 at the 3.50 but the other for 5.98...I said Iwill show you where it says 3.50 ...She told me that it was not in her job discribtion to go look I could take it or leave it...She was being so rude mademy kids cry...I told her I wasent buying nothing from there and my total was already 256.00 and still everything hadent been rung up... Here are my 2 kids crying cause of her tone and to top it off she called security on us! We hadent done anything at all how embarrisin so I called the next day to speak to someone over her they assured me she would be talked to!grrrrrr...I never went back to that walmart agian...
Ok on with the next...Clinton HWY... I ordered my sons b day cake 3 weeks in advanced...A hot wheels birthday cake...Itold them I would be there to pickit up May 30 at 12pm...well I go at 12:15 pm topick it up the old lady in the bakerytoldme it wasent done and his party was starting at 1:30...So I went back at 1 pm and tried to pick it up well she toldme I was blowing hermind and when she got the oppertunitiy she would make it... Itold her how long in advanced I ordered it and his party was in 30 mins told me wasent her problem...ok had to call everyone and tell them it would be later another hour passes shes finished! Its hot pink =[ and doesnt look like what I ordered I asked the lady what was this she said I made a mistake and grinned ugh I asked to speak to the store Manager and got another run around and was pretty much told they couldnt do nething about it and I was talking about that lady's attitude and he said there busy u must understand...so I love Target forget walmart Ihope they go bankrupt

LACK OF CASHIERS
THEY TELL YOU ON RECEIPT TO GO TO WEBSITE AND ENTER TO WIN GIFT CARD DUE TO YOUR SHOPPING EXPERIENCE THERE. WELL THERE APPARENTLY IS NO SITE SO THIS IA A SCAM. BUT I WILL TELL YOU I WOULD RATHER TAKE A "BEATING" THAN GO TO THE STORE HERE IN TOWN! IT IS NOT WELL STOCKED AND THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE WORKING THERE ARE RUDE AND VERY UNHELPFUL WHEN YOU ASKED FOR HELP FINDING SOMETHING. I WORKED THERE MANY YEARS AGO AND QUIT BUT I WAS TRAINED A LOT DIFFERENT THAN THEY ARE TODAY.
