My 18 year old son took his 2007 Hyundai Tiburon over for service. One tire had a slow leak and his tires needed to be Balanced. He had just recently painted his rims white. He was advised at the time of service the Rims may get marked up, from the Balancing Machine due to being spray painted. He understood this and okayed the service. Peak 5 filed bankruptcy and never forwarded any correct information to SST who says they have my loan now...but the DMV says someone else does...SST is eveidently a third party collecting for them...In the mean time, they are trying to repo my car when I am not behind at all. My Credit Card was billed and my order showed sent to shipping on their website but never an update that it shipped nor a tracking number for my purchase. All I am going to say about this 3rd st location is buyer beware. Before you go there to purchase a tire, battery or anything else know the size of tire or battery, check for sales, coupons, and promos and take them with you, be prepared to wait longer then the one hour wait that you are promised and always remember that nothing verbally applies which means the salesmen can tell you anything they want...get it in writing. Ordered from these thieves in March of 09 and have been trying to get a refund for a subwoofer they said they had in stock, but I later found out they could not get it. I have been going in circles with their customer service manager Robert Jones and their Sales guy Nader, both have said the refund is "going to be issued any day now"! This has been months. On 11-13-2009 my wife took our car to Walters Mercedes for warranty work. Had a mirror fixed under warranty and service man ripped off part of mirror seal. Service writer said it was damaged upon arrival. OK damaged but still there, I get car back and now rubber seal between mirror and door is missing, torn off(gap between door and mirror now). I called to ask service writer why it was missing and he said it was damaged when it arrived. He never once asked me to bring the car back for inspection, nor did the Service Manager or General Manager. I phoned to complain they put £100 back in my account to buy damaged parts to which I did. Fitted the engine lasted 3 days then ceased up. GO Subaru Service Dept. is deceptive in their pricing, charging excessive fees beyond what the manufacturer recommends. When questioned about this deception the Service Dept. They told me over the phone that the transmission needed to be rebuilt so I consented to having it done. I paid $2100.00 for the job. I took my car in for its MOT which it failed on a few minor issues. I took the car to an external garage to get the parts fixed so that i could get it back in time to take advantage of the free re-test within a 48 hour period. The car was fixed the next day and was ready to have the re-test carried out on it, but when i called up to book the car in, they were too busy to look at it and informed me that it would have to be the day after, rendering the free 48 hour period useless.
